This is the second year in a row when we get an arctic blast and it pushes birds down and in the only son of b**ch at the launch.

I go through the lease and kick up hundreds of birds but as soon as daylight comes all that's flying is dogris and a few teal.

Managed to get our limit of dogris a feel teal and some pintail but the amount of big ducks that are just sitting in ponds because people are to panzy arse to get out in the cold is ridiculous.

If there was even half the "hunters" that are normally out there we would have slaughtered the greys...

I'm tired of the twenty something year old Snapchat warrior "duck hunters" and I'm a damn twenty something year old.

This is a mild hunting day for anywhere but louisiana put your big girls panties on.

Rant over

You would if you were the only one there and you know immediately that birds won't do jack diddly if no one kicks them up

Complains about 20 year olds posting on the internet too much; is a 20 year old complaining on the internet.

You sound like a crawfisherman: too many hunters, not enough hunters.

No I'm tired of the fake hunters who have the sole desire to shoot "limits" so they can post them on instagram to show off.

What happened to hunting because you enjoyed being out with your dad or friends being out in the marsh enjoying a good morning shooting birds

That's ridiculous, the greys are non existent. Hunted for probably 6 hours yesterday to scrape together a limit of teal and a dog with a token merg. And that was in the pouring cold rain. They just aren't here and when they are, they don't stay. On my 4 mile ride in to marina yesterday jumped one group of greys. Durring my sit I saw maybe a couple dozen within a couple hundred yards and one group of maybe 40 high flyers Venice bound. Those Venice bound birds will not find their preferred food source in abundance.

On our leases our grey harvest has been non existent this split. I actually emailed Larry Reynolds about it last night asking if he has seen a similar trend. Said in his marsh same thing. Said overall in coastal marsh the SAV crop is terrible and with a species so dependant on it we can't keep them. Said he expects the harvest to be substantially lower than usual.

That being said, I'll be out there tomorrow and for rest of season. But guys like me sleeping in didn't account for your less than desirable hunt.

Not a goddamn thing enjoyable about that cold outside. Sorry you weren’t good enough to get a limit on your own. Maybe check Instagram for some tips for the next hunt tomorrow, since it’ll be colder.

The guy has a point about the instagram hunter. I know a few. But I am not a cold weather guy. Below 30 and I’m out

Make up your mind. U complain you not shooting limits of grays then u say its about spending time in the blind with your dad. You sound like a punk millenial who is t getting his way. I hunt when i want to. Not to " kick up birds" for u.
