Why would this be any of your business? If you're pissed because he wants a second child, are you going to tell him your opinion, which doesn't matter? Geez...

There are some ignorant people in this thread. I won't be having children until I feel more secure financially but it can be done. If they can afford housing, you can feed, clothe, and raise a child in a loving household on that much money. You won't have a huge house, an iphone X , a PS4 , a Lexus every three years, brooks brothers slacks, Maui Jim sunglasses, etc but oh well.

I'm guilty of vanity much like most of our society but the world would be a lot better if we had way less of this consumer lifestyle constantly shoved down our throats. It's always about the newest and shiniest. I'm a hypocrite I know, but aren't we all. Shitty culture we live in to be honest.

They're married. What makes you think they're on the dole?

My wife an I weren't wealthy when we had kids but had insurance and paid our own bills.

30k in a city is guaranteed government assistance.

Rural, different story.

I don't know whether he will get assistance but you can be pretty sure he will be basically paying nothing in taxes. I would be mostly bothered by what are they planning to do about schooling? Do they live in a decent school zone? If not, then they are sending a child into a terrible situation and the parents should be ashamed of themselves.

I live in an area where the school system is garbage and almost entirely one race. My heart hurts when I see one or two kids clearly not like their 300 classmates of another race. Being isolated like that must be terrible and that fault lies directly on the parents who chose to have children they couldn't afford.

They want a second child. Not like their fifth or sixth...but second.

Maybe they want their child to have a sibling. Nothing wrong with that. You also are forgetting they work for their church. Which means the church likely helps them out more than just paying a salary.

Having kids while being poor by fareplay
There is a plague spreading across America where middle to upper class aren’t having kids because they pay taxes for those of lower classes

That’s got to be one of the stupidest things ever posted on this board.

Is it?

Lower class people are outbreeding middle and upper middle class people. This is a fact.

I don't want my tax dollars supporting poor people that keep having kids!

I don't want my tax dollars paying for other people's birth control!

I don't want my tax dollars paying for abortions!

I would say that you should have to prove financial independence if you want to frick, but prostitution is illegal!

I am guilty as well (looks at CC debt and Steam Library)

The irony of being pro capitalist (which most conservatives are) is that creates the perfect environment for mass consumerism.

While perfect for the economic boosts it gives a nation, it creates a toxic addiction to those unable to resist it.

if they'd also have kids, their own taxable income would be reduced.

Agree. Just you do not get the newest gaming system and phone every year.

What? I can use my government benefits to pay for food and then use the $30k salary to pay for my Xbox, PS4, and iPhone X. You're just jealous.

What the frick are you talking about? The income requirements are standard, doesn't matter if you live in the city or out in the fricking woods.

ehhh, not really

the middle-upper and upper class are having fewer kids as well as paying the lion's share of taxes

the underclass is having a disproportionately high number of kids while being negative contributors in terms of government redistribution

Medicaid alone is a big drain on our system
