It was Celtics and Pels

Pels get Al Horford, Jayson Tatum, and 2019 draft picks

Celtics get Omer Asik and Anthony Davis

Ill take Jaylen brown instead of the draft picks and call it a deal. Thoughts?

I guarantee you, no matter how we slice, dice and analyze potential benefits, the Pelicans will not trade AD.

There is no chance the Celtics would trade away Tatum and Brown. Both of those guys have star potential and already solid starters. This would potentially kill this season for them (3 starters for one). I would do this in a second, but I'm sure I'm one of the only ones on here..

No you wouldn’t, you haven’t won anything with him so without him can’t be much worse

Celtic fan trolling? You're not going to change my mind about this. AD is the greatest player to ever don a NOLA jersey. He will be the greatest player in the NBA within the next 2-3 years. He's only 24 years old. We'd be idiots to trade that for anything. He's a once and a lifetime player

True but this is a team sport and AD being the best player in a NOLA jersey or the NBA will not get u to the playoffs and definitely won’t win a championship.

That's why that trade works for both teams even with the draft picks. You wont win a championship with AD but by trading him you can build a championship team, from the assets you will get back and the cap space.

If the Pels traded Davis before Cousins signs his next contract they would have traded the two best bigs in the NBA for Tatum, Hortford, and picks. That is absolutely stupid.

The Pels are a strong team that needs to get Hill back and a coach with some fire and energy.

If one sad unfortunate day comes where we trade AD, I hope it’s to any team but the Celtics. frick the entire media for their weekly AD to the Celtics trade ideas

Even if you didn't like this core and wanted to trade both you'd be foolish to sell low this season unless you thought the odds were high that Cousins was leaving.

The Pels will make the playoffs.
Cousins will sign a max, although possibly a short one.
AD will sign an extension

Once that happens they'll both be worth more in a trade.

The Celtics would absolutely trade both for AD. Those guys have star potential, but AD is a legit superstar on a depressed contract for 2 more years. Ainge would jump at the opportunity to have a Kyrie, Hayward, AD core for ~$76M to build around next season.

I dont' think so.
If he were in the conversation of being one of the greatest players in the NBA, then we wouldn't be winning 30 games every season.
Westbrook took his shitty team to the playoffs.
Harden is surrounded by our rejects and they are a top 4 team.
Lillard's only losing season of his career was his rookie year, compared to AD only having 1 winning season.
Garnett missed the playoffs his rookie year, then made it 8 years in a row. Thank God he had Terrell Brandon to help him get to the playoffs every year
CP3's lowest win total was 37 while he was here. We went from 46 to 21 wins after he left. The two seasons, outside of his rookie season we won less than 46 games, he missed over 20 games in each of those seasons.
Even Carmelo made the playoffs every year in Denver, who was terrible before him, and his best player was Andre Miller and then washed up Iverson and then washed up Billups.

AD should be leading this team to 40 wins minimum if he was one of the best players in the league. He has the talent to be the best player in the league, but he hasn't done much to prove it on the court that he's one the best players in the game.
I think our terrible coaching has something to do with that, but if he really was a top 5 player, then we wouldn't be winning 34 games every year. he's not young anymore, and other greats have shown they can pull their team into the playoffs in their second year in the league and on. AD hasnt' done that.

The Pels terrible coaching and injuries has held him back. He also has played in a strong Western conference. Anyone that can’t see that is a moron.

Gordon and Holiday both averaged less than 55 wins a season playing with him. Evans barely played two seasons ago. Anderson missed almost an entire season and then had two seasons he missed 15-20 games.
