Irving vs Davis..

Davis- 5 seasons, 4x all star, 4 playoff games

Career avgs- 22/10/2/1/2

Irving- 6 seasons, 4x all star, 52 playoff games and an NBA championship

Career avgs- 22/3/6/1

Both are former #1 picks and ROTYs. Irving plays the much more difficult position, has the best handles in the game, has the best team record in the league and is vying for league MVP. But Davis is a year younger. So why is it laughable that I think that Irving is better?

Why do you keep leaving out Asik? That is 20M in cash, that is kind of important. As far as Davis worth more than Horford, Tatum and Brown, no I don't believe that. Horford is almost interchangeable with Davis. He is all star PF/C. I actually think the team would be better if you replace Davis or Cousins with Horford. He is a perfect fit next to either and is everything they are not. A smart, dirty, experienced winner. Davis obviously has a ton of youth and upside over Horford. But when you throw in two top 3 picks that are legit players, then I go with the package over Davis. Not even close..

Horford is great and has been playing excellent ball, but just no.

If they could get Horford for Cousins, I agree that the team would probably be better. I'd dump Cousins in heartbeat for Horford, Draymond, Jokic, or Marc Gasol

That alone shows that you are either clueless or trolling. Move on.

I would probably agree with Draymond and Jokic, but not Horford. Would love to get George on a long term deal for him, but that is dreaming.

Because no one in their right mind would ever think Kyrie is better than AD.

14/8 almost interchangeable with 26/11.

The trolling accusations are just sad and kind of childish. I make statements backed up by facts and you feel so put off that you have to resort to name calling. I have to confess, I'm not original. Almost all my views come from blogs and forums that I read, including this one. I'm just not a rabid homer or fanboy that I can't see things from other perspectives.

Sniping one sentence out of a paragraph and trying to twist its meaning is just cowardly and chicken shite. I obviously know what I'm saying and always back it. Maybe one day you'll grow enough sack to do the same.

I don't think you understand how different your opinions typically are. You don't just disagree with most of the posters here, you disagree in about the most opposite or absurd way possible much of the time. If someone were to troll this board, they would have very similar opinions to yours. I've usually given you the benefit of the doubt because you do usually seem to put work into coming to crazy conclusions, which isn't what most trolls do, but your opinions almost always seem crazy from our perspective.

Stop acting like a troll all the time on the site. Grow a pair and use some original thought rather than gathering "almost all of your views" from other blogs and forums. Watch a game every now and then.

You get trolling accusations because you say ridiculous things. If all of your views come from blogs, show me one writer that believes Kyrie > AD. AD is 2x first team all NBA.

Go look at the Annual NBA GM Survey. AD is viewed as the best PF and second best center in the NBA by GM's for multiple years running and is one of only 7 players receiving votes as a player a GM would sign if starting a franchise. AD also received votes as the best interior defender in the NBA

Kyrie received no votes for best PG or SG. Also no votes for a player with which to start a franchise. Abviously he got no votes for best defender also

Your "facts" for saying Kyrie is mroe talented and better is the playoffs/championship which he won with Lebron. How about his record pre-Lebron? What is his PER? How about WS?

Career Stats:
Kyrie AD
PER 21.5 26.8
WS/48 .154 .207
ortg 112 116
drtg 109 103
BPM 3.1 4.2
VORP 17.7 19.1

Every meaningful stat tells you that AD is the better player.

I don't just drop crap and run. Which is what trolls do. I make a statement and defend it.

For example, I said that is way too huge of a haul in exchange for Davis. I can find and link a number of articles that discussed this very subject that even said just Horford and Tatum were a huge cost for Davis, not including throwing in Asik and Brown. That's not an outlandish statement.

Another, Irving more talented or valuable than Davis. That is a common attitude around the country, especially after Irvings start. Thats not a crazy opinion.

Another, Davis and Horford are interchangeable. Swap out Davis with Horford this year, do you think we are better, the same or worse? I don't think there would be that huge of a drop off. Horford is an all star and a great fit next to Cousins. I think we would be fine.

Either way, it really doesn't bother me. But this forum needs more voices, especially those with differing points of views and opinions. People are way too quick to attack those that don't follow the group think..

Which is why I've said I usually said I give you the benefit of the doubt. But sometimes I don't even know what to do with the things you say.

Worse for sure. Now I do wonder if Horford would be better than Cousins, because despite Cousins production he brings a lot of negatives that Horford wouldn't. But it's just absurd to say Horford and AD are interchangeable.

Horford is just so good at all the little things that don't always show up in the box score. He will never put up Cousins stats, but the guy makes everyone better. As a guy to play off Davis, he is pretty much ideal IMO

Obviously age matters in these comps, but if we look at just skills/fit, I would take Horford over Cousins as a partner next to Davis every time

I'm not going to say Kyrie is better than AD, but using stats to compare the two doesn't prove anything. Kyrie played with the best player on the planet for most of his career. his stats are skewed b/c of it.

What he does in Boston is much more indicative of the type of player he is and can be, and he's looking pretty frickin awesome right now. I would much rather have Kyrie on my team in the last 2 minutes of a game than AD.

And Horford doesn't compare in any way to AD. As ATL said, you could replace Cousins with Horford and might not see a difference, but not AD. And Cousins is a lot better player than Horford, but the negatives he brings and the intangibles Horford brings almost makes those guys a wash, but i would not be happy paying Horford $30M a year. I'm not unhappy paying Cousins $30M a year.

Good deal.

I take it.
Use those picks wisely.
Tatum is going to be nearly as good as ad.
You dump asik.

Great deal.
50/50 one of picks is a 5 year starter.

How many without Lebron? None, but then he gets sent to one of the best teams and best coached teams so don't act as if he's so amazing trying to carry shite in Boston.

He's talented, but Kyrie couldn't carry what dell Demps created. Boston has a top 5 front office and head coach, we have bottom 5 of both.
