Yeah, I didn't mind him making a point or two about it. But, I wondered why he is going all in every day on something so trivial. If it's some 8D intergalactic chess that I don't understand, then fine.

quote:Exactly, it's his Lather, rinse, repeat.
Trump has a huge week coming up with some controversial bills on dock. He knocked over a bees nest that was already mostly dormant in order to redirect and distract

Or it could be he's basically lucked into the presidency by going against putrid candidates in a horrendous election cycle and has very little idea of what he should actually be doing.

One is inherently wrong and ignorant.
The other is right but poorly delivered.

roblem is, like everything else, only lip service is given.
Now, however, everyone says "It has nothing to do with Kap!!cord cutting!!!"

Why can't Trumps comments and kneeling both be divisive things?
But yea, anyone who disagrees that both are divisive is someone who you should ignore.

The left can even figure out the more they bash Trump and fundamental American values(the flag, the Anthem) etc etc, the more they guarantee his reelection

Like wildtigercat said, Trump has a lot of important task to take care of this week. This entire NFL situation is nothing more than smoke & mirrors.

I thought men and women died so that we could have freedom to peacefully protest.
You know, I have this feeling that this entire country was basically formed due to a form of protesting against what they did not agree with, but I could be wrong.

I don't condone the kneeling, but the last thing I wanted was the President to chime in and take it to an entirely different level. Even discussing it gives credence to the protest. It's such a dumb move if you're actually trying to make it go away.
The president has now turned it into an anti-trump protest which is probably what he wanted. Watch how many people kneel now. Both sides in this one suck as is the case with everything political lately.

I honestly couldn't care less. If he wants to comment on people doing things he thinks are dumb, cool. I'm not going to pretend that he's not still running the country just because he chose to comment on it though.
Trump 100% knew what he was doing, and he also knew 100% that it would create more division when he said his words. It's not even about agreeing or disagreeing with what he said. It's about him intentionally saying things knowing it's going to work to further divide people.

i mean they were
just because the players are doing something divisive doesn't make what he said any less divisive

These people don't actually want to be together. They have no clue what they actually want.
Nothing Trump could say will ever be accepted by them.

As has been mentioned, I think the person making a statement is a huge part of it. I often see stories that are shared to the point of being viral about a random BLM activist or a KKK guy that has no formal position in either organization. I don't think we should give increased attention to these types of people as it only stirs the pot. If it's a President of BLM or KKK or other elected spokesman, that's a little different.
When it's the President of the USA, that's a big deal. I knew Trump had a big ego and uses Twitter too much but was surprised that his words were as divisive as they were. I expected him to be somewhat divisive but not 'Yugely Divisive' like they were.

Trump knows his presidency looks like an unorganized disaster. His entire staff has been replaced less than a year in, there's no healthcare reform, the wall is clearly never being built, lower middle class plant workers are realizing automation cost them their jobs not liberal economic policies, he's been such an embarrassment that his closest allies have been visibly annoyed...it's the Ed Orgeron regime of presidencies.
All he knows how to do well is manipulate the media and the unthinking, unwashed, sheep on both sides of the aisle. This issue is perfect for him to galvanize his support base and further increase division, so his incompetency will be overlooked in favor of just hating those goddamn liberal anti-troop thugs

Eh, he's rolled back plenty of dumb bureaucratic policies, and removing the "Dear Colleague" part of Title 9 is a billion times better than anything Orgeron has done. I don't like the giant orange dude, but you gotta give him some credit with the rollbacks.
