SIAP, I searched

quote:

Gedvydas Vainauskas, the president of Lithuanian basketball team BC Lietuvos Rytas, is under fire for offensive comments he made in a recent interview.

Vainauskas said that he doesn't think teams should have more than two black players because "bad things start to take place" when teams exceed that number

quote:

"We've always held a stance that there shouldn't be more than two black players on the team. What happened was that coach Tomas Pacesas likes to play with black players - to control them, to teach them, to tutor them - and we ended up with four players that are black. All of a sudden, they came together to form ... how should I put it ... a sort of a gang. It cannot be that way; no more than two black players - I can say that from my 23 years of experience in the business. Teams, don't ever have more than two black players ... (smiles) Because that's when bad things start to take place."

Just wow

Again, Europe is exponentially more racist than the USA

And far East countries are even worse

Shouldn't be an issue for him going forward, since I doubt any black guys would volunteer to play for that team after that.

Holy shite that dude would be killed in the U.S.

I remember when the Dead bought them these badass uniforms for the olympics.

I don't think you will find this sentiment out of place on this board. Another day on the OT.

It's Lithuania. Why should be judge this by our standards? What per cent of Lithuania is black, 0.01% per Wikipedia.

I know a guy from Lithuania. The stories he told about the racism there were crazy.

For example, a basketball team signed a black player and the first game he played, his wife and kid(s?) came to the game. Supposedly, the abuse that was hurled at him and his family would make Alabama racists blush. I think the wife and kid(s?) came home because they couldn't stand it anymore.
