I don't like Bernie, and don't think he's very bright. That being said Bezos/Amazon is getting so many tax breaks, it's unacceptable. Not to mention, the man is a Leftist prick.

Downvote for horrible spelling in the title. I'm on your side and you made me turn against you.

Champs Elysses (just walking down it for a bit)
It's like walking down a typical city in the US, lot's of homeless, beggars, thieves, and cookie cutter stores. Unless you're more looking to cross it off a bucket list.
Check out the 6th arrondissement for great shopping streets, also nice and picturesque. Great to stroll down. It's also home to the best bakeries, chocolate shops, and pastry shops.
Sacre-Couer has a great view, and y'all can walk the Montmartre neighborhood around it and it's really cool. Veer off too far near Barbes - Rochechouart station and you'll be in the arab ghetto.
Everything near Gare du Nord is really bad. If you know how Decatur is in Nola or Times Square in NYC, it's all tourist traps.
However, there is a meat lovers gem near by called Chez Papa. It is Southwestern French/Basque food and really tasty. Not a facny place, just crazy tasty and close to Gare du Nord. Tous, or Vivant are near and fancy/good. L'Oseille is a little further but one of my favorites.

I really like BR. Has plenty of negatives, but many good things. I've lived in many cities, and been to too many to count and had to stay in them for work. BR is not bad at all.
Btw, don't be one of those guys who kills their family in murder-suicide, just run away if you hate your life.

If your kids are sweets lovers, take them to get the giant cinnamon roll at Lulu's Bakery. They'll be tickled. Queso-covered chicken fried steak, and great BLT

A couple locals we talked to lowered my expectations, but we really liked it.
"locals" which probably means they've been in Austin for under 15 years.
Everyone loves to act all sophisticated and say salt Lick is no good. False. It's very good. The brisket isn't Franklins-caliber, but still tasty. As are the ribs. The cobbler is wonderful. Sauce is fantastic and I'm not a sauce guy.
Sounds like a fun time, can't wait to get back soon and do much of the same. Bbq, booze, tubing.

Well it's not like the liberal social lean of the court has changed any since all the other gay rulings. So I imagine the gay cake issue is in the homosexuals favor.

Why has the OT lounge become the "let's talk about racism" board?!

Tom Cotton is a Peter King-style Republican. Total crap. Don't be fooled by these Rinos who talk tough, act more conservative now that Trump is here. They are liars and cheats

The kids these days say "be 100". Seems similar to that
Oh jeez, wasn't that announced 3-4 years ago?

Some posts belong on the OT. Others should be relegated to the group text thread with your buddies. This is the latter.
I keep re-reading his posts hoping I'm missing something. But I don't think so. It sounds like an awfully planned trip, so bad that I feel like he should delete his posts just so nobody has to read them again.

I was on a UK football site years ago. Same thing. I’d think the whole British Isles was a giant turd if I’d paid attention to their version of the poli board.
No. It is. It's filled with either to most trashy people, or people who feel they are so enlightened, that it makes sense to allow Muslims different sets of laws to govern them (grooming/raping/honor killings). It's a fricked up nation on the decline. Great beer though!
Am I reading this incorrectly? This sounds like the worst trip ever. All you do is travel and sleep and visit one thing....
Over some frickin candy. Frick that d-bag cop. That could have escalated into a damn shooting.

That's a short trip, and with all the cities you are wanting to do, you'd be burning nearly 3 days with travel alone (think about how many hours it takes to packup/checkout of accommodations/get to airports/go thru security/leave airport/get into the city/check-in). You'd be stretching yourself very thin, and not be able to enjoy things. Kids will be annoyed and tired of having to do it nearly every day.
That being said, I like doing radically different places. So London vs Spain is fun and both very different. Spain will also save you a HUGE amount of money.
Once you've decided on which cities you'll hit up (seriously don't do more than 3, 2 preferred) come back and let us know and I'll start throwing out some recommendations
