For someone who had been striking out and "swinging at everything ", he's looked great out there lately.

That's why some posters on this board are so stupid sometimes. At one point last hight, he had a .341 BA/RISP. That shocked me, because according to some on this board, he doesn't hit and is only in the lineup because of kissing up to CPM.

Beau is perhaps the best clutch hitter on the team. The stats prove that. When the full season stats were posted here last week one of the most revealing was Beau's 450 BA with runners in scoring positions and two out.

I think a better slide he is safe. I know it is tough to do this on the fly but if he slides feet first on the right side of the plate and reaches out to touch home as he is passing it the catcher might have not tagged him. I'm not meaning that as a knock on Beau just an observation I had. It was a good play to send him it was just a better play by the center fielder and catcher. Not all things that happen bad to LSU is LSU doing something dumb. Some times the other team just makes a better play. Also I think it was too early in the game to pinch run knowing that Beau was going to get at least one more at bat.

There are guys batting worse than him in the lineup.

But other guys in the lineup have have additional jobs. Beau does not. His only job is to hit the ball and he can't even do that. I'm not saying that he is a bad guy or anything negative about his character. It just seems like he has the kind of hold over Mainiari that JJ had over Miles.

Was 2 outs in the inning and took a perfect throw to get him and a review. You have to send him there. If you don't send him and the next guy gets out people are saying you have to take a chance there and you do

Also I still think he beat the tag at the plate. I would love to see a frame by frame of that play!
He didn't even get his hand to the plate, man.

That said, right to send him, and right for him to be DH. He's hitting .275 and about .340 with RISP. Lotta know nothings in here giving him shite. Great tiger

I think the call to send him was 100% correct. They forced the center fielder to make a perfect throw (which he did) and the catcher to receive the ball (which he did) and lay down a good tag (which he did). If any of those things are not perfect Jordan scores. Miss St executed perfectly. Tip you hat to them. We made them execute and they did.

Agree - I was surprised they sent him seeing how shallow the ball was and knowing he lacks speed.

BUT - it was a whole lot closer than I thought it would be, and when you realize they had to have perfect execution, then it was the right call.

You would rather have Beau up with 2 outs over Deichman, Watson, duplantis, paps, Kramer, freeman and smith?

He has the lowest RBI total of the regular starters. I would love to know how many runners have been on base with him at the plate.

Yeah I agree with this. And it was a good job on the hit and run.

It was the right call sending him...I think if his hand doesn't glance of catchers foot he is safe. I give Jordan props for making that play closer than I expected.

And? He had a questionable hit and didn't hit the ball hard once. Zack crushed the ball 3x and only got on twice. I would say Zach had a much better game.

Great hut and run call by CPM. Knowing he would get cutter low and away and making him just put the ball in play was a great call...no hit and run and he tries to pull the ball and misses by a foot

I'm pretty sure I didn't say he was the MVP or anything like that. I said he had a good game and considering he's gotten a lot of heat lately I was giving him some props. He wasn't the one who HIDP, struck out, got caught on 3rd like a deer in headlights or hit the ball down 3rd getting his team mate hung up. I'm sorry giving a player some credit is too hard for some of you guys.

Dumb.

Which hitter who is objectively worse than Beau would you rather start, because everyone on the bench is worse than Beau. Coomes should swap with Slaughter.

Best situational hitter with RISP and two outs--Jordan
Second best situational hitter with RISP--Jordan (Duplantis is best)

Just the facts.
