1 was an error, the other was barely a single that a better infield would have been an out.

Not according to the scoring officials. And even if he was able to stop it, it would have been difficult for the 3rd baseman to settle himself to make a good throw in time.
Kind of sad that LSU fans would deny a Tiger a hit just to bolster their argument. But, not everyone's self esteem rises and falls on their ability to be right on tRant.

If Jordan would just go with the pitch regularly he would be a more consistent hitter and have less ugly swings and ugly strike puts.

That's a stupid argument. When people say he is slow it's in regards to the team. We aren't playing for LSU. Jordan is.

You're right it isn't exactly a no brainer but it seemed like a very smart move to me considering the situation. He would have been the tying run in the 7th. MSU didn't extend the lead until the 8th. Maybe it's because I'm used to watching K Rob and Freeman leg out ground balls. It just seems like it takes Beau FOREVER to get to 1B!
