Yeah I saw that on facebook earlier this week. Its fricking stupid. If any got pissy they could have just said look we support both SLU and LSU and wish the teams the best of luck and left it at that.

That is retarded. LSU is the flagship. Nobody should take sports that seriously when SLU isn't even a real rival

You are way overthinking this.
You shouldn't shame them for wanting to support their local university and retracting it when it looks like the Hammond location is supporting LSU over Southeastern. There are a ton of people in the Hammond area that are connected to Southeastern.
I agree with all of this... I actually feel bad for the owners.

I missed the part where this place has can't miss food and service quality.
Their heartfelt letter called their support for LSU "a mistake" that they wish they could take back. That's some snowflake stuff right there.
To win back all of the SELU fans, they doubled down on the fact that Hammond is their home. That's great. There are too many Baton Rouge owned businesses to get a burger or poboy. I'll take my money to those places.

Sounds like your loss. I've been to both locations and the burgers kick arse at both places.
All SLU fans are LSU fans anyway. There's no ULL inferiority complex in Hammond.
