Amnesty International says Venezuela is forcing labor

quote:

"The decree, officially published earlier this week, establishes that people working in public and private companies can be called upon to join state-sponsored organizations specialized in the production of food," Amnesty International reported.

"They will be made to work in the new companies temporarily for a minimum of 60 days after which their 'contracts' will be automatically renewed for an extra 60-day period or they will be allowed to go back to their original jobs."

So this is how Socialists solve their unemployment problem.

Venezuela is going to be like North Korea in our very own hemisphere backyard sooner or later and they're going to really be a problem when the wrong dictator comes along.

Not really sure how this is different that my government taking every penny for make for the first five months of every year. Taxes are disguised slavery. If only it was 60 days out of the year.

I have their solution, we send the immigrants Mexico doesn't want back to Venezuela to work their farms. Mexico and USA both get rid of some undesirables and food is grown for the people of Venezuela. It's a win-win-win.

Isn't it crazy that "take it from the rich" always ends up in forcing the masses into labor against their will.

Force labor is the inevitable result of socialism.

Haha

At least older North Koreans remember a time where the state and party were half-successful at feeding its citizens

Venezuelans are expected to work for meager rations even after knowing what a total disaster their government is
