We had our first 2 share until they were 10&8, brother and sister. They loved it. I think kids that share rooms learn some important tuff and can be closer in many ways

What does this mean? Are you talking about how early kids have sex today or something?

6 kids in 4 bedrooms growing up. Me and my sister in one and two boys in each of the other two. Parents in the 4th. What's the big deal?

Not at all. Over the last few decades, there has been a trend of people choosing to have fewer kids and in return, live a more financially comfortable lifestyle. Growing up I had many friends who shared bedrooms with siblings. In 2017 I don't know anyone who has their kids sharing rooms.

Growing up my 2 older sisters shared a room until they went off to college (I'm 22 now so not that long ago).

It basically made them hate each other

We have 4 daughters...one still in HS, the others in college and grad school. They grew up in two BR's. When they come home for holidays/vacation, they stay in their respective room with their sister. It was great for us.

I'm an only child so I've never shared a room with anyone. Hope that helps!

I have four kids in two rooms, and all is fine.

Bedrooms are for sleeping and getting dressed, play outside.

Four kids, two bedrooms, 1600sqft house. I refuse to let society and HGTV tell me how much I need to spend to be happy.

More $ for retirement, college, and vacations.

I grew up in a 3/2 house. My brother and I shared a bedroom till I was about 10. The other bedroom was the play room. Then we decided we wanted our own room so my parents turned the play room into my brother bed room.

My dad is from a family of 6, they shared a 2 BR house and used the same bathwater till my dad was in high school.

Our kids have separate bedrooms but they only use one. They love to sleep in the same room (2 twin beds). That wasn't planned but I think it's sweet and I'm fine with it. The offer bedroom basically has become a holding area for clothes.

Shared a room with two brothers until 3rd grade. (Bunk-beds are awesome)

I was similar to this. Lived with two siblings until middle school, but then in high school we each got our own room.

Do it, no-brainer.

At one point, my 2 brothers and I were all three in the same room.

The top bunk was used more like the top rope WWF-style than a bed.

We loved it.

I have a lot of experience with kids sharing rooms. I have 4 girls and 3 boys...2 oldest girls 12 & 11 share, 2 boys 9 & 7 share, 2 girls 4 & 2 share rooms and a 5 month old sleeps in his own bed in our room for right now.

No problems at all..the older girls didn't want bunk beds so they share a full size bed for now and the other two younger sets have bunk beds..the younger set of girls have bunk beds but only use the bottom bunk because we still have the toddler bed set up for the 2 year old so she can get in and out on her own in the mornings. Over all I think they enjoy having a "roommate"

I put all three of my sons (7,6,4) in the same room because an 2-1 situation didn't seem fair. It's all they know. I like hearing them chat late at night when they should be sleeping. It reminds me of my childhood sharing a room with my three brothers.

Well the baby will definitely be one or the other and it makes the situation pretty simple.

I shared a bed room growing up, I would never do that to my child.

never shared a room but 2 daughters currently share a room and my son has his own. We have a play room for them at the moment but I am sure when the girls no longer want to stay in the same room that will be turned into another bed room.
