The mayor-president also said she will convene a panel of experts to find solutions to Baton Rouge's notoriously bad traffic problems.

"Trains, trams and Zipcars must be embraced as a components to a comprehensive transportation agenda that includes all corners of the city," Broome said.

Looks like the loop isn't on the list

How does a loop help North BR? She doesn't care about the commuters, only those that get her votes.

What fricking rock has she been living under? Theres a new multi million dollar traffic study done every year. How about she look at one of those instead of "study" traffic for another couple years. Shes a fricking moron.

Lol. I'd rather sit in traffic than use public transportation in BR.

The busses are working so great that public transportation has to be the answer.

Why not above ground road ways Similar to the Causeway approach in Metry? Put one along Airline, 190, Seigan, Perkins, Bluebonnet?

They should turn the inside shoulder of I-10 into a toll lane from Downtown to highland. And down I-12 to O'Neal.

The parish presidents of surrounding parishes would probably still shoot it down anyway.

Wouldn't this require a multi-parish effort? Baton Rouge mayor can't really do this alone.
