If by that you mean pay a player of Cam Newton's ability to come and lead us to one, then I half way agree that's likely on the table if both he and Kiffen are in the same war room...

Why do you think that is trolling? Was O fielding HC offers from various schools over the years of which I was not aware?

So none of O's positives are, you know, quantifiable?? O has an impressive list of mentors, but not one gave a shot at coordinating a defense??

How did he demonstrate he learned from any mistakes?? He walked into situations in which he was set up to succeed.. and in both situations that's objective as he didn't really excel in either position.

Of course he doesn't compare to favorably to any candidate. His entire sales pitch is called "building a championship program". He has absolutely no experience building a somewhat successful one.

I guess the answer is yes. Yes you really are that fricking stupid. Coach O has been in coaching all of his life. He's either been head coach or interim head coach at three different major schools. I know that you think that you sound cute or something but you just sound stupid as hell. You really weren't worth a reply in the first place. Asswipe

What are you psychic? Your dumb arse doesn't know how many offers he's had. You can't make this shite up.

Why did O keep Peveto... - roscoe mike on 11/19/16 at 3:52 pm after firing Cameron? That kind of descision making is why he isn't getting the gig. Do not want any sign of Les Miles on that staff....

The special teams play continued to be horrendous in all aspects, even after O took over...but Peveto is gone now...good decision...the kind that gets you the gig.

Look, I was hoping for Fisher...but now I'm hoping Coach O succeeds to the point that he gets rich.

I mean, who would want LSU to lose football games just to prove a point? Too bad ole Les wouldn't put in the work to change the offense like he said he would, and keep his arse from getting fired.

See, I'd say he's been a position coach for more often than he has been a head coach or interim head coach, but then I don't have an agenda.

Are there any decisions CEO has made that people disagree with?

But he sucks anyway! Awesome logic!

Please explain to me the qualifications O has to lead LSU's football team

Their logic goes something like this; every other coach out there is "unproven" so what's the difference?

Even the most positive Tiger fans have to see this as a bad hire. Everybody loves Coach O but as the Head Coach of LSU? That's a reach by any measure. Teams like Purdue or Syracuse wouldn't hire Coach O to be the head man but LSU just did.

It still hasn't really sunk in for me yet. Coach O is the head ball coach now. He has taken command of this battleship. Last time he was in control his ship crashed into a lighthouse and exploded.

But who knows. Maybe he'll be awesome. We're not going to be able to judge just how good or bad this hire was for a few years. But right now, just based off of the available evidence, it's pretty bad dude.

I would feel better about it if we hadn't lost the Florida game in a Miles-like fashion. But it was impressive how we rebounded against A&M and whipped arse on a short week and missing several key guys.

He can recruit, he loves LSU, he has a lot of passion and players really like him. Those are his selling points. And I like O a lot more than Bobby Petrino or Larry Fedora. I just wonder if we had a realistic shot at Mike Gundy.

Why are you lying?

The last two times he had control of the ship they did better than the HC's that had control before he took over.

He's not. It's those of you that view an interim position the same as a HC position that are lying.

Yes. Everyone says he's a great recruiter. That seems to be his biggest selling point. Then let him recruit. He doesn't need to be the head coach to recruit. He's a great recruiter, he's a terrible head coach. I think that statement can be backed up by fact.

Yes O was really bad decision. Everyone involved in this goat roping needs to be fired now. Do you honestly believe that Alleva thought he was going to get Jimbo or Herman on the cheap? Why didn't he at least act like he was conducting an actual coaching search? Why did Alleva just give up after Jimbo and Herman didn't work out? The fact is that Alleva settled on O.
