Like with any coach, Herman's system might take a year or two to fully implement and learn completely to run on all cylinders. I know LSU have phenomenal athletes and always will, but system schematics need everyone on the same page.

Hey, outside of my Buckeyes, I am and LSU fan and would love to see Herman as a Tiger. Just was curious how long the leash would be?

If he loses to BYU I'm going to start questioning his ability. And I'm fully onboard the Herman train.

Are you missing "long" in your title?

if he has success and starts posturing for other jobs, some idiots will start a march for him.

and then when LSU postures to fire him, they'll carry him off the field to save his job.

Tough to say. In a 'what have you done for me THIS MORNING' world that we live in, 3+ years seems to be the going rate.

LSU proved with Miles its willing to have some patience, but his past probably gave him a longer leash.

You also have to look at how the team is progressing. I like Strong, and thought he would do well at UT once he cleaned house, but unfortunately they don't appear to be moving forward.

We will give him 3 years to succeed...and success is defined by 3 national championships.

4-5 years.

But remember that LSU is verybtalented. I'd be surprised if LSU wasn't contending by year 2.

Tom Herman adjusted his offense at halftime at Ohio State when his QB went down.

I have faith he can make adjustments in an offseason here.

How long did it take for him to be successful at his previous stop? Herman will elevate the offense immediately and take advantage of the great group of young skill players already here.

That alone will help take the pressure off a talented but reloading defense, that is going to be in year 2 of Aranda's tutelage.

And if Stidham somehow shows up on our doorstep, look out!

Depends on a few things. How the program is trending, win/loss, can he make a roux, just to name a few.

I think Herman needs a different OL to run his system. ours is run only oriented, too big and slow.

however, maybe it's coaching at that position. who knows?

knowing LSU fans, they will let year one go as long as we are competitive.

year two: he'll be questioned in the beginning of the year. the first SEC loss and his heritage will be disparaged. the second SEC loss and fans will want Miles back.

the exception: some of our xbox fans will love him will he amassed 600 yds a game and passes 75% of the time no matter how many we lose. to them, yardage is everything.

We fired a coach who won 78% of his games. Recruited inside the top 10. Graduated at a very high level. He has to be better than that. He will have 3 to 5 years
