Convince me that Jimbo is the BEST man for this job. Still on the fence. Haven't been very impressed with him at FSU. Yeah he won an NC, but so did Miles. Will he be capable of competing in the SEC West week in and week out? This is not the ACC. He only has Clemson and maybe Louisville to contend with each year. Not quite the same as facing Ole Miss, TAM, Auburn, Bama, Ark every year.

Saban is the best man for the job.

Then Meyer, then Harbaugh.

But we aren't getting any of them.

Jimbo is not the coach we need.

Jimbo is the coach we deserve.

We're asking him to come in and revitalize a program that had gone stale under a once great coach.

That's literally the exact thing he just did at a similarly sized program.

Jimbo is uniquely qualified for this job.

Y'all down the ACC way too much. Its the second best conference out there, and has been for the past few years.

The weak link at lsu for 10 years has been QB. Jimbo is the best QB coach in the country. Its literally the perfect match.

I want a O-T 9 wife, but I need an O-T 4 to keep it real. We all want Saban, gruden, Harlbough. But we need a Fisher or better to keep our program in the upper half of the SEC consistently each year. Aranda just makes this Package even btetter.

Besides bama, half of the teams on the list in any given year suck or are average at best.

I mean besides the national championship and playoff berth and making his main rivals eat shite for the better part of a decade what is there to like?

The problem with this fan base is that they refuse to understand that 77% was REALLY DAMN GOOD and will be tough for any coach to come in and do better. Now, we all know that since 2011 Les had just been accumulating wins and not doing anything of consequence, but the fact remains 77% is a very high mark to beat.

I 100% agree. Les was amazing before his implosion. If he ever was able to overcome his stubbornness, my lord would he have been a great.

Even with Jimbo's shortcomings..... This is probably one of the most simple and accurate explanations I have seen posted!

now compare where Florida State was pre-jimbo.

Bowden had two 10 win seasons in the decade previously.

Jimbo has five in 6 years w/ 3 BCS bowl games & 1 national championship.

Les Miles took over a Ferrari. Jimbo has built one.

I hate when people do this...

What is Bill B without Tom Brady? Sean Payton without Drew Brees? Urban Meyer at Florida without Tim Tebow? Bill Walsh without Joe Montana? The U.S. Military without money?

Jimbo had Winston. It is what it is!!! Nothing should be added or taken away.
