My wife just called me from LA 73 in Prairieville (by Sonic). She left our place (off LA 74 by Bluff Road) at 7:30. She's gone approximately 2.5 miles in 45 minutes.
I logged into twitter and typed in traffic and came up with this "gem."
This got me sidetracked while on the phone with my wife. I then went to her Twitter page:
and after seeing her entire profile picture, I immediately resumed listening to my wife, who was still on the phone with me.
Traffic is just plain awful today.

That's normal traffic, this is worse than normal. It's all the extra out of area people needed for the recovery. Traffic was a nightmare for a few weeks after Gustav too because of that.

I12 was bad at 615 coming through LP. Slowed down for no reason at Walker and heavy all the way to Millerville. Just a lot of people trying to get places right now. This weekend traffic was all kinds of messed up in 12 through Tangipahoa.

They're gonna have to do something with the light cycles on airline. Is the interstate this bad? Or is everyone still using airline like 10.

Is there an accident at Perkins and Stanford? Looks like the road is closed on Acadian and Perkins. This is in addition to two accidents on 10W, one on airline, two at the mall, two on essen, one on industriplex, one on highland, one on burbank....

Traffic was miserable today. Reminded me of after Katrina. Baton Rouge traffic was fricked before we had all the refugees from AP and LP

Prairieville into BR this AM was the worst I've ever seen it. When I drove over the Bluff overpass above I-10 westbound was bumper to bumper, same for Airline northbound and 73 was backed up onto Airline
