Excuse my backwater flooding ignorance but should we be concerned in Iberville Terrace. Siegen and Perkins area...

Yep. Mom lives on the pond. I remember wanting to paddle from her house to the Amite.

I'm actually in the area too. I am not from Baton Rouge though, but there are some areas I'm watching, namely Ward up north of us. I honestly don't know, but I would be much more concerned if I were along Bayou Fountain or closer to Ward

Henderson bayou may cut off devalll road, but not sure it will swell up enough to get into houses. But I guess it's possible, better safe than sorry. I'll keep an eye on it and post updates for my fellow keystonians

Iberville Terrace

I live close by in Oak Hills. I wouldn't be too worried. If we flood, then the whole city is under.

Satan: I would be concerned in Maplewood. It is currently experiencing extreme backwater flooding along Hurricane Creek. This is the gauge downstream of you. "downstream" is a misnomer during a backwater flooding event, as it is technically upstream now.

Sez_1 - 6 feet higher is a good place to start if backwater happens.

At around 6 the Amite and Jones creek linked up in the area around Runnels school. A lot more water started pushing directly in to Jones Creek.

I'm across Antioch from you in Tuscany Villas (by Somersby).. Water started coming in earlier today. I never thought it would get all the way to my street but it's here. This shite is insane.

ETA:not in my house but the streets in general. Our side doesn't flood.

Yeah. Ward Creek is making me nervous. Not getting any rain for much of the afternoon is great.

Being off Pecue and Airline, Ward Creek is close.
