Both are vastly overrated, imo

Bourdain is good but he gets too pretentious for me at times. His social awkwardness makes me cringe at times too.

I don't catch SVP on TV very often but used to listen to him on radio in the afternoons. That radio show has gone to absolute shite since he left it.

Bourdain can be a typical New York Douchebag at times.

In this thread:

I agree with every negative remark about Bourdain.

I agree with every positive remark about SVP.

SVP is by far my favorite sports personality, love his delivery. Watching Bourdain pretty much got me interested in cooking. Plus, he's pretty much got the best job in the world.

Bourdain- I don't know if his words or his writers words but he paints an interesting picture when describing his experiences.

I like Bourdain and think he hS the best job on the planet. If he annoys a few folks because he knows and appreciates good food, that's just a bonus. LOL

Id love to hang out with both. Here's Anthony's take on guns in America. Some may be surprised.

Just starting watching parts unknown on Netflix. Lol at the Asian guy bringing him to a sizzler on the Korea town LA episode. He was a good sport about it but you could tell he was like what the hell..

I'm a fan of Jeremy Wade. He's the guy that does River Monsters. Some of the places he goes to catch fish are incredible.

Bourdain's first book was on e of the things that made me quit cooking and buckle down.
