the funniest thing is, the guy videoing had to have known there was a pretty good chance he was about to witness something like that for him to pull out his camera.

I'm sure he was laughing on the inside.

The music playing couldn't have been any more appropriate.

The end result has nothing to do with towing the Tahoe up. Dumbass didn't do anything right with regards to hooking the trailer up.

Think about the steps necessary to switch the trailer once the boat is already on it. And compare that to the steps necessary to hook up a tow strap.

Why are the trucks in tandem?

Because the truck hooked to the trailer didn't have enough power or couldn't get enough traction to pull the boat up the landing.

Doesn't make much sense to me either. Looks like it's a denali that's hooked to the boat and they're awd and have the 6.2l. Should have been able to pull that barge out.

Only thing I can figure is that the driver must've been pretty wasted at the time.

I am sure the vehicle that lost the trailer had the power but SUV's suck at shallow ramps were you damn near need to put your truck tires in the water to launch/pick up. With a pickup you have a bit more vehicle sticking out behind the rear wheels. Also this is why i won't own a non 4x4 vehicle. I have had to put my trucks back tires into the water at launches before. Put it in 4hi and just drive on out. Those back tires lose traction on a 2wd and you will launch the vehicle too.

It's actually easier if you remember to do anything more than sit the coupler on the ball. Good thing that didn't happen on the highway or someone could've died

I have had a lock inside the coupler break and the chains saved me. Also been in a truck where the asshats hooking up a brand new trailer forgot to latch it on. Once again, chains saved the day
