Those pontoon boats are not very heavy and that ramp is not steep nor looks covered in algae, they still squeeled the tires though. I don't understand why they needed tow strap either.

Either the trailer was too short or they didn't load it all of the way up. Those party barges are always awkward to pull on a trailer. That took the weight off of the arse end is my guess.

I wouldn't put it past them to spill some gear oil on their tires right after they backed down

My favorite part is when the guy behind the truck just downs his beer and tosses it in the bed so casually.

I had to go watch it again.

It's actually easier if you remember to do anything more than sit the coupler on the ball. Good thing that didn't happen on the highway or someone could've died

IT was a total fail. Coupler wasn't down, chains were not secured and the third wheel on the trailer must have been done as well.

It never ceases to amaze me how people have no awareness at a boat landing

Jet ski trailers are the only thing I've seen with 1 7/8" ball

yeah, I can't understand anyone who doesn't use the chains.

I (knock on wood) have never had a trailer come unlatched , and I have driven all over towing 16' trailers with a Tacoma. I always use the chains though, religiously. Even if I am just moving them around in my yard.

I had one trailer come off the hitch ... The actual ball adapter broke while going 60 down a shitty highway luckily I had the chains on

It's actually fairly common on smaller boats. Or at least it used to be.

I have only ever seen 1 7/8 on a log splitter from HD. Nothing else.

It wouldn't pull it up bc they didn't put the barge all the way up on the trailer. Therefore it had negative tongue weight. It was lifting the rear tires of the Denali. It wasn't an AWD Denali so the back tires had zero traction.

Looks like it's a denali that's hooked to the boat and they're awd and have the 6.2l. Should have been able to pull that barge out.

AWD became optional in '08. From the looks of that spinning rear tire it was an option he didn't get. Just a limited slip diff would've prevented the necessity of the Excursion... But they still wouldn't know how to attach a trailer.

The trailer would have come off any way. I don't thing the second truck has much to do with it. I'm headed to lake Travis next weekend, one day will be spent at a boat launch with a case of beer watching these jack legs.
