My buddy just got an email he was selected to pick a single barrel through BT's barrel program. Is that unusual or pretty much granted to anyone that applies? Seems like everything is sold out that is decent.

He’s lucky! It’s hard as hell. I was trying to get one for our company. Less than 1% who enter get to chose a barrel.

Interesting. They have some pretty decent selections (sold out right now) but I'm wondering if those ever become available (Weller antique, full proof, EHT SiB) or are always just sold out due to retailers and restaurants.

Dorignacs has a barrel pick of ER. The 750 price is stupid (I think $50), but the 1.75s were around $69. I scooped up a ER 1.75 and EHTSmB this morning.

Elios was $61 after tax for the 1.75 pick. Pretty sure the 750 was around $35, but not positive.

I agree. Only thing I would ever get there would be something that is completely not available anywhere else. They sell the Isaac Bowman Port Finish for $63, it’s a $43 bottle pretty much everywhere else.

frick Dorignacs. They price gouge the shite out of their liquors. When I lived in Lakeview I would drive to acquistipace Northshore for my buys or hit up martins. I never gave them crooks money.
Meanwhile I’m finally getting to try this. More distilleries need to sell the minis so we can taste before buying. So far I’m confused with it, but I do like it. I think it’s something I will buy in the future. Extremely interesting.
