What is your most embarrassing sports moment?

That you were personally involved in.
Mine was when I was 14. I was playing travel baseball. I was a catcher and of. The first baseman was sick so they pUT me on first. I made a great diving catch for the first out. Then three consecutive ground balls were hit and I dropped all of them. I got pulled with one out in the first. Went on to play walk on in college mt freshman year, but I still think about and get embarrassed about that day.

Losing 45-9 in 3 innings in 13-14 year old Dixie Baseball.

I fell for a 53 fake and got picked off first base in little league.
I don't know if it's the most embarrassing moment, but it's the first one I remembered.

going winless in basketball my senior year of HS
I was the team captain and we had a new coach that everyone hated and was just awful, so most of the starters quit before the season even began, leaving me to play with 4 8th graders a lot of the time
we were a playoff team the year before

In Jr High basketball, the opposing team scored and as I turned around to throw the inbound pass in, I threw it straight to the opposing player standing there. He looked at me with shock like I said "check" then preceded to score a layup.

my junior year of high school football when we lost to a team was on a 46 game losing streak. Our long-time coach retired the previous season and when had a new coach who was horrible. They shut us out 14-0. The previous season, they scored 6 points and gave up 600+ points.
my senior year of high school basketball when we lost to our rival 76-15. It was 39-3 at half. We weren't that bad of a team but had no answer for their press.

I was thrown out of a tee-ball game as a player for the White Sox because I flicked the catcher the bird for calling me a "skinny fart". Im ashamed.
Also, in a high school baseball game I attempted to steal 2nd and my spike got caught in the dirt when I started my slide which made me roll 2-3 times and not even reach the bag. I came face to face with the covering shortstop who tagged me on the top of my helmet sitting on my arse 3 feet from the bag.

Dropping three straight snaps in my first JV start as a sophomore. It was about 35 degrees, raining, and the field was basically a slab of mud, but still. That was awful

I have two:
One was when I was around 13 playing baseball. I was the catcher on my team, had been for years, but I had been begging my coach to let my play 2nd or short just once in a game. Well eventually, we were killing some team and he let me go out at 2nd for an inning at the end of the game. First batter who comes up hits a hard ground ball at me, right before it gets to me, it hits a rock and shoots up and hits me square in the nose. My nose explodes with blood and I have to leave the game
Second was playing club soccer. I played defensive center-mid. In the state tournament, I took a clearance kick straight in the balls from about 5 feet away. First thing my coach said to me when he got to me on the field was "your nuts still in your throat?"

Junior year in high school. Winning touchdown pass was in the air. Cornerback and I both jumped - he was in front of me. He blocked my view of the ball but had mistimed his jump. He was on the way down and BOOM the ball was there - hit me right in the head and bounced away.
I will never forget the looks on the coaches and my teammates' faces as I jogged to the sideline.

I guess this should count. This happened when I was an adult.
We got together a over 35 team (I was 36) played in a mens league. After running up and down the court maybe five times I had to come out because I thought I was going to die. (I was way more out of shape than I thought I was)

Ran through a stop sign at 3rd in little league summer ball because I thought I could beat the throw home. The catcher was waiting on me with the ball in his glove when I got there. Lost the game by one run and was our only loss that season.
Runner up would have to be when I hit a bad shot playing golf, threw the club and nearly took my dad's head off.

had a bad habbit playing tennis.. i would make a bad shot and hit racket on the ground. So after breaking a couple rackets i said never again. Well i was playing at this smaller school and hit a bad shot, so instead of hitting it on the ground i tossed it up in the air and hand every intention of catching it, but it didnt come back down. There was a big live oak by the courts and one of its tree limbs was hanging over the edge of the court... yep racket stuck

When I was 12, I tried to pass out of the press with under 20 seconds left instead of using our last team TO. Kid picked it off and took it to the house to end our undefeated season and take the regional biddy championship.
