I just can't do this anymore. I swear these people think the 90's were when O-T 9's blew random Joe's on command and minimum wage was $4,000/hr.

I fricking loved the 90s NBA and MJ but this thread is absurd. I think it would be a great series, at least 6 games for sure, but some of the comparisons have to be trolling. If I had to pick I say Warriors in 7

Agreed I think it would come down to the bench and the Warriors Bench is better.

Let me aske a question, was there any team that replicated the type of ball movement and team athleticism in '96 that the Warriors posses today?

1996 rules favor the Warriors even more so than the current rules/schemes.
You mean the rules where Jordan and co can knock Curry around and basically hold him from going where he wants to go? The rules have banned physical defense, so what he hell are you talking about? The basketball stupidity on this board is overwhelming.

Wrong. Everyday in practice the Bulls played against Kukoc and other bench players and they were just like this Warriors team

GS would have a harder time stopping Jordan than Chicago stopping Curry. Too much defensive prowess for that Chicago team, all of them having great size as well. Curry would get loose at times, but there's no one on this GS team that would stop Jordan. AI? Get the frick...

Rodman v. Green would be an incredible side-story.

Wait what? So now it was legal in the 90s to hold people and knock them down?

Never heard in all the rule changes regarding illegal defense?

The Warriors would arguably crush it even moreso under the old rules.

There's no point even trying to point out the rule changes that were referenced, since apparently you are part of the overwhelming basketball stupidity on this board.

Have you heard of the Jordan Rules?

The Jordan rules may very well work against Curry. It would also leave guys like Klay Thompson with tons of open looks from 3.

It might work, and the Warriors might also score a ton of points from 3 as a result of placing that much emphasis on Curry.

Dubs are incredible. Super fun to watch. The difference here is that the Bulls have the single best player to ever lace them up, and three of the best defenders of all time. Nobody on the dubs can hold a candle defensively to MJ, Pip and Rodman. Curry gets his, he'll go bonkers, the great ones always do, but the Bulls can use their three best defenders to effectively take out Klay, Dray and #4/TBD. Crunch time you put MJ on Curry.

Dubs have a deeper bench, but its the playoffs/finals, and rotations tighten up big time.

Lastly, the Dubs have to win it all before this is even a fun hypo. To do so they have to get through a solid clips team that does not fear them, SA/OKC and then Bron. That is a rough road.

ETA: Dray is a great defender, but let's see a few more years of this before we throw him in the MJ, Pip, Rodman level.

ETA2: Pip, MJ and DR were each first team all NBA defensive players in '96.

ETA3: LAst edit, Pip, MJ and DR can all guard multiple positions, so switching/picks are not going to be a problem for those guys.

Jordan and Pippin show up on most people's all-time perimeter defenders list. I think they match up well.
Miya not about shutting down Curry. But they can definitely slow him down enough to beat the Warriors.

Who is gonna stop Jordan? Or even slow him down?

The 2014 Spurs in the playoffs/Finals were basically a preview of what the Warriors are doing now, but the Warriors are doing it flashier and over a longer period of time.

There was nothing even approaching what either of those teams have done the past 2-3 years in previous eras.
