I am a fan of wings of chicken.

However I am a fan of anything chicken including hearts, gizzards, livers, neck and back. And no homo towards the owner of this board either.

If you get the feet they make a great stock and something cool to chew on.

I suggest going to LaMorenita on Florida at Wooddale and buying the white fajita seasoning, season the wings liberally and toss on green egg on about a 275 - 300 fire and cook for about an hour. No sauce needed. And yes this is very good with thighs and legs which I do often.

The wing has always been my favorite part of the chicken and the turkey, too. I like whole wings, though, so the wing craze didn't do a lot for me. The wing meat is nice and tender and tasty.

What's up with all of the complaints about prices on this board?

Restaurant owners have to eat, too.

Speaking of which, looks like Pluckers has a new menu. New sauces.. and new prices.

The flats have a higher meat to bone ratio and a better meat.

Maybe it's sometimes with the better meat part because that's a personal preference.

The meat ratio part is not a sometimes but rarely. There is more meat on the flats per bone weight

Also, once you separate the flat from the drumette, you can grab the end of the two bones (one at a time), give a little twist, and slide them right out along with the cartilage. Then, you have a single perfect bite of chicken wrapped up in a little fried chicken skin cocoon.

The flats might be the best two bites on the whole fried chicken.

I agree about the flats. I just like them better.
