Pelican House used to have a buffalo chicken thigh dish, but I do not know if they were boneless and I do not think they are on the menu anymore.

Oh wow, that would be so good. Even better if NOT boneless.

Not an apt analogy. The reasons are twofold:

- chicken wings offer low value per ounce, while FGL can be listened to at no cost via radio or free streaming services.

- the culture surrounding both are similarly bro-ish, but at least at a FGL concert there's hot women in scant clothing everywhere. chicken wing joints are primarily frequented solely by slobbish, posturing, fantasy-sports obsessed neanderthals.

deserving? what the heck does that even mean?

It means it's a fricking chicken wing. Never in the history of chicken (until the last 20 years) has anybody went batshit over the wing. It's the dryest part of the chicken. Then two Yankees drowned them in butter and hot sauce and caused a gastronomic explosion. And they are good, in not saying they aren't. But it's mainly people going gaga over the sauce that's applied to the thing. If edible cardboard had gotten buffalo sauced you might be finding endless chain resturants and menus dedicated to it instead. Now a chicken thigh or a chicken leg, that's something that doesn't necessarily have to be drowned in sauce to be delicious. They can stand on their own because they are a superior cut of chicken. A more deserving food. But the masses flipped their lid over the sauce covered wing. And Florida Georgia Line and Mylie Cyrus. . Not so much Sturgill Simpson or a number of other mucisians more deserving of the attention.

He mad.

The word deserving when describing a food item is the dumbest thing I've read that is not on the Rant.

Gotta give you an upvote for this one based on creativity.

Although points must be subtracted for using primarily and solely in the same phrase. And also, how is one slobbish and posturing at the same time?

I'm mad? Lol. Im not mad at all. Im just giving my educated opinion of a chicken wing. Maybe you're mad at my position and your inability to grasp its meaning.

Insane. Just because Hooters is terribly cheesy it does not affect my love for titties.

I grasp it completely.

Awful, overrated, overpriced, unhealthy, I can see.

"Deserving" is dumb.

When I was a kid (back in the dark ages), Mom ate the wings when she cooked a fried chicken Sunday dinner. I thought she was making a sacrifice so the rest of us could have the good pieces. It was later that I realized how bone gnawing good they are. Lots of crispy skin, a couple of good bites of chicken, finger lickin good. Mom wasn't sacrificing, she was keeping the best pieces for herself!

Again, all before wings were a thing.

Back in the day, Popeyes had a six wing special for like $1.99. Those days are long gone.

Season then lightly flour boneless skin on thighs. Bake at 450 for 45 to 1 hour on parchment paper. Use favorite buffalo sauce. Yum.

Good call. Apologies for the redundancy.

Devoid of manners or personal hygiene while still exuding an alpha male sense of having to command a room full of other men.

They're not redundant, they're incompatible.

What's your next apology?

Boneless thighs would be awesome fried wing-style.

McGuire's in Pensacola does this. Granted, they're boneless/skinless, but still pretty good. I fry them bone-in/skin-on all the time and they really are fantastic. Pretty much 3 is the same amount of meat that 10 wings would be.
