My worst ever:

I made the mistake the other night and ate at twin peaks with some friends to watch one of the mlb games on and drink some beer.

Got there and got a table after a ten minute wait or so, no big deal so far. Once sat we weren't greeted by anyone for 15-20 minutes, all the while the waitresses were standing around the computers fixing their hair or flirting with nearby tables. So started to get annoyed but I'm pretty patient so we didnt make a scene.

The waitress comes by and finally acknowledges us and asks us if we would like any drinks, so we ordered a pitcher of beer to split between the 3 of us guys. She takes easily around 15 minutes to get us this pitcher and when she gave it to us it was barely cold. Strike two, pun intended since we were there to watch baseball.

After we got drinks she asked us for our food orders and she leaves to put them in. 15-20 minutes later one of my buddies gets his food and but me and my other friend didnt but the waitress said it wouldnt be long so we didnt make a fuss. Another 10-15 minutes go by and she is standing by the computer flirting with a nearby customer, while our food is on the counter right by her. She notices finally and brings it to us and it was cold. Strike three. Won't be going there again.

Sorry for long post, but im sure you guys have some interesting stories.

Your first mistake was waiting 15 minutes for a server to get your drink order, I'm out of there after 10 or 5 if I see them standing around like you described...so the last 2 strikes are on you

The owner of a small local restaurant spilled a glass of red wine on my mom and he was serving this table of obnoxious drunks. My dad told the owner that he would give the guy the cleaning bill since he spilled it on her. The owner told my dad he wouldn't pay for shite as it was an accident. My dad got up and grabbed the guy and I had to jump up and pull my dad off the owner. It was my mom's birthday dinner. Not kidding.

My dad is a retired army colonel airborne ranger. I was pretty sure he was going to kill the guy in front of the entire restaurant. They've never been back. That was over 10 years ago.

There was a pizza restaurant that moved nearby my apartment in Beijing, and the pizza had ketchup instead of tomato sauce. Almost vomited on the spot.

It's not the length of the post you should be sorry for.

I'm not one to usually "top" people, but I have one that unfortunately tops you hands down. We were supposed to go to Destin this past week, but my wife had meetings pop up late last week meaning no Destin. Instead we stayed in downtown BR at the Hilton. We arrived late Friday and decided to just eat at the hotel restaurant. The service was awesome, but the food was horrendous. I had a crawfish salad. What was supposed to flash fried crawfish came out similar to dried crawfish. The gumbo roux was the same consistency as paste. My daughter had the "Char-grilled Chicken Breast" per the menu, what came out was pan fried to shoe leather. We left there and went to Capital City Grill. Never again will I eat there.

I have always had a good experience at Twin Peaks, although I have seen what you are talking about. It doesn't take much to distract them floozys.

Most of the time between checking on tables I see them fill the booth on the way to the kitchen and just sit there talking. I don't know many restaurant managers that would put up with that shite on the floor.

But you were there to watch Baseball so you deserve whatever bad time you got.

Most recently were Melting Pot and Luke. Went to Melting Pot for my ex's bday, and basically had to serve myself. It was so bad, I asked another waitress if she wanted to be our server. Sat there for an hour and fifteen minutes with no utensils and only the drinks I went in the back and got myself. Then, the manager accused me if trying to get free food when I called him over to complain. I poured my drink on the ground, dropped $80 on the table, and walked out with my ex bitching at me for pouring the drink out.

Similar thing happened at Luke. I kept having to get another server and the busboys to get us stuff. Saw the waiter a total of three times, and the third time he brought the check with 20% gratuity included (only me and my ex). Didn't say anything. Just dropped the bill and left.

I paid for the meal only with cash, no gratuity, and we walked out angry.

Ate at a very fancy seafood place once. Ordered one of the fresh catches. Started eating on my fish and look down at it in the dim light; something didn't look right. There was a huge like finger sized worm hanging out of it. And if cut a chunk out and eaten some if that bastard

I've only had one truly horrible experience.

I've had several not-so-wonderful ones, but most all of them have been "shame on me for expecting more" types of places.. like Twin Peaks.

Someone fricking up doesn't upset me. Mistakes don't upset me. Lack of apologetic actions after the fact do.
