Just got fired for being late for the second time in a year and a half...

I worked extra shifts when we were short handed for months, every holiday, doubles (from 9 in the morning to 11 at night) with no scheduled breaks... I worked extremely hard for these people... Their turnover rate is extremely high, the place only employees 5 people and I've seen 11 people come and go in a year and a half.

Hard to know how big of a deal being late is without knowing what you do, but in general, that sucks.

The basement where I had my stuff stored flooded friday evening while I was I work. I tried to request off but was told I couldn't and had to be back the next morning at 9... I got off at 11:30 and had to come home and try to get my stuff moved...I overslept.. I'm normally 15 minutes early every day.
