Poche Market/Best Stop, or somewhere else

Passing through this weekend and stopping in to load up (primarily cracklins, boudin and souse, but the kids will want jerky). I've been told that Poche Market is the best.
Any suggestions?

I've always like Poche's products.

Why not get both? Try them both out? Not sure if Poche's makes jerky BTW

I had Billy's pepperjack stuffed boudin balls last week...holy moly those are good.
Also had a bag of cracklins from Andre's on 190 in Erwinville; pretty darn good, but the heavier, non puffed style. Not too much meat, not too much seasoning. Long, skinny strips.

Stop at the Duson/Cankton exit and hit the Shop Rite. Inside is a little place called Rascals; great jerky and their boudin is top notch. I buy it over Billy's or Don's if I can. It has the seasoning of Billy's, but w/ a better texture, and the casing not as tough. For meats you can't go wrong with Best Stop or Don's in Scott. Poche's in Breaux Bridge if you're going that way. The one is Scott is all frozen products.

Best Stop's turkey tasso is a great pantry staple (kept in the freezer)--if you regularly cook for non-pork eaters, it's practically the only way to get "real cajun" flavor in certain dishes while keeping out the pork.

I'm so very glad that I don't have this problem

Best Stop for all that stuff. Their jerky is great too.

Billy's is the best, but you can't go wrong with Best Stop. Poche's is solid as well.

For boudin Billy's is superior to Best Stop. Billeaud's is superior to Best Stop as well. I find Best Stop to be a bit bland.

Poche's is not my favorite boudin, but their tasso is definitely my favorite tasso.

Early's for boudin, Billy's for boudin balls

Mowata store doesn't exist in it's former form.... A family runs a restaurant out of it now. No longer one of the best boudin stops in the area, my buddy grew up not far from there and we would drive there after hunting the rice fields. Grab a few links and a 6 pk.... Good shite

Go to best stop... Get Tasso and andouille, both are made in house and are good products. Always have some in the freezer. If you want frozen best stop and dons only have boudin in 5lb pkgs. Billy's carries it in 4 linked vacuum sealed packs.
