The best fried chicken is the fried chicken you are eating.

Willie Mae's was mentioned. But I'll bet Chickadilly is a better product.

The best fried chicken comes from the blue shack viet grocery store off of scenic in north Baton Rouge close to southern lab. Best fried chicken wings I've tasted in my life.

My favorite is Popeyes. Hands down.
People here in town tell me to give Ball's Fried Chick'N a shot but I love Popeyes chicken so much, it's hard to pry me away from something I know is always good.
Also, there's a little place in Baton Rouge, it goes through different names but last I saw it was the LSO (Even though it looks like LSU) food mart at Nicholson and Roosevelt. Their fried chicken wings are pretty damn good for coming from a little hole in the wall place.

As mentioned in a prior thread, I've been to several on this list as well as done of the others mentioned in this thread (my arteries hate me), and I still say Gus's is best, and it's really not close.
I find Willie Mae's to be overrated. One glaring omission is Uncle Lou's in Memphis.
And did someone really say Popeye's?

Louisiana not mentioned
You blind? Willie Mae's is on the list. Funny cause they have the second to best friend chicken in the state behind Bread and Circus Provisions

Popeyes spicy IS the fried chicken standard. No one should come to a fried chicken discussion who hasn't ingested mass quantities of it.

no shite, I always LOL when people get some upset about them. most are advertisements and publicity ploys for the restaurants.
fried chicken is heaven, popeyes for fast food makes the best. shite, even Albertsons has good fried chicken.
you really are splitting hairs here.

Princes listed.
that fricking place. i've eaten there once in the 20 years i've been in nashville and all its good for is making you gulp down a gallon of water & 10 slices of white bread to douse the burning.
there's absolutely no chicken enjoyment whatsoever going on..you can't even taste the meat because your mouth is on fire. how fun.

Pure Oil Gas station across from courthouse in DeKalb, MS not mentioned?
Bogus or at least a poorly researched list.
