The restaurant models are extremely similar

Pretty much, yes. Burger joints, order at the counter, pick your toppings, excessive amount of fries... definitely the same model.

Not sure which one I would say is better. I didn't compare it to AB b/c many here haven't been. The BR folks can relate to a Mooyah 5 Guys comparison.

So your review is that it is better than 5 Guys? Man I bet Zagat's is beating down your door.

agree. Only thing 5 guys does better is having free peanuts

I've been eating Mooyah in the Riverwalk and I tried the Metairie location last week and it was great. I do lettuce wrapped burgers at both Mooyah and Five Guys, and Mooyah just tastes better. Mooyah has cheese options instead of only American like at 5 guys.

Five Guys offer the Little Hamburger (single patty) and Hamburger (two patties). These patties are 3.3oz each.

Mooyah offers a single and a double, but they use different size patties, like how Company Burger does it.
The Mooyah Burger (their single patty), is 5.33oz.

The "Double Burger" from Mooyah comes with two 3.3oz patties.

I've only been to one 5 Guys and one Mooyah. Seem pretty much the same to me.

I've eaten at the Mooyah in the Riverwalk Mall. Pretty good burger. I like it better than Five Guys or Atomic Burger.

Looks better than 5guys, missing the quart of old grease is a good thing. And the bun isn't wadded up.

I swear it's as if we go to two different places.

Same here, and I would give a definite advantage to Mooyah as well.

They have awesome milkshakes

Words mean things. Awesome? I think not.

Rank it on a scale of 1 to 10, with 1 being a bum's sock soaking in sour milk and 10 being as Travolta puts it "a pretty f***ing good milkshake".

Frankly, I thinks it's a 6, "It's OK, but McDonald's is slightly better"

They are pretty much the same place, except one is near New Orleans and the other has LSU.

Who are you to critique his verbiage? Awesome is inherently subjective as it hinges upon what each individual perceives as awe-inducing. Perhaps for Lester Earl the quality of the milkshake did, in fact, induce awe as if he had looked upon the face of the divine. Perhaps he was forever altered by the experience, a la Moses on Sinai.

What a douchey post. Awesomely douchey, even.

I liked the burger... their fries sucked though -- limp and soggy.
