My nightstand gun is a glock 10MM, but my door is impenetrable and I have a ferocious guard dog.

If there were a herd of protestors trying to get in my house i'd reach for my AK and preloaded magazines

Why even have a gun safe if you are going to keep the key in the door. Can you imagine a scenario where a perp breaks into your home while you arent there and approaches your gun safe with disappointment only to be relieved to find that key in the keyhole?

A shotgun is the right answer here.

Yes, that's the competition model too. It fires great, honestly i need to spend more time with it and get the sights adjusted a bit more.

I was thinking of getting one. I'm glad you like it. I think I might get it.

I forget exactly but i like the idea of having the 9mm in the house. It has like 20 rounds or so, so you can have plenty of misses for the gun fight and its not too much gun for wife if she needs to pop off a few.

I have thought about this many times. How did you choose which attorney for this need? Did you pay an upfront retainer fee? Any recommendation in the Lafayette area?

Fire

I agree if he always leaves the key in the door, but if it's only there while he is home, makes for quick easy entry.

I've seen this comment two or three times on this thread. If y'all are such gun experts, how are you missing the fact that if you take the plug out of a shotgun it can hold 4 shells plus one in the chamber. So, unchambered, you have four shots. How many real life shootouts have you seen where someone shoots more than once or twice? This isn't the movie "Taken". shite goes down, a shot or two is fired, shite is over.

Yup, in the convenient event that only 1 person is in your house uninvited and you can put multiple rounds on target, under stress, in the dark at a moving target. To quote the piece of shite in Taken...."Good Luck".
