Obviously during 9/11 there were many memorable live interviews where reporters either broke down crying or maybe something major happened during the interview. It could be something funny like the lady in a boat during Katrina and people walked by her in knee deep water. Any kind of live interview that you'll never forget that was during a disaster. Whether it makes you tear up, makes you feel good, or makes you say Murica, frick yea.

This one of Hardy Jackson from Katrina has always made me tear up some. Sound is kinda bad though and there may be better links.

I can never find it, but after Katrina, a reporter asked a lady what they were going to do now that all of the churches were flooded.

She said We don't eat at Churches, we like Popeyes.

I wish I could find that interview.

frick. I forgot about that one...my dad worked for the Fox affiliate in Mobile (this is their competitor) but we had all the stations running at his office. That was when I lost it.

The dust-covered old man who had just fled the tower collapse.

"I'm 69 but thank god I can still run."

Loved that guy.

I remember the one where Wolf Blitzer was interviewing an Oklahoma woman who'd just had a tornado blow away her home.

Blitzer: So do you just thank God you're alive?
Woman: (puzzled look) No, I'm an atheist.

Memo to reporters - just because someone from flyover country has a hick accent and lives in a trailer house doesn't mean she's a Bible-thumper.

It wasn't a disaster but the spoof interview at OJ's house with a Robert Higgins.
