From hardest to easiest-
Swim
Bike
Run
I cycle a lot, average 20-22 in a group. I've never averaged 25 for an entire hour. Like others have said, that is pro level shite right there.
The run is much simpler unless you are really out of shape. 12 min miles? Does even belong in the same grouping.

Swimming a mile
I can run and bike that but idk if I could make it a mile without holding on to the side of the pool.

Swimming a mile is easy
Easily running 5 miles would be the hardest

The answer depends on the intensity at each is done.
That being said, there are probably less than 5 people on this board who can ride 25 miles in an hour.
The correct answer is stop being a pussy and do all three.

I swim 1.5 miles most days. Running 5 miles is much harder than swimming a mile to me.

Drowning is a lot of work bro.

swimming no question

As a semi-out of shape person, swimming sounds the hardest. I couldn't imagine swimming four laps around a track. Biking sounds the easiest (can coast some of the time). I'd put running in the middle.

Edit: Didn't read the OP correctly. Hardest to do under an hour:
1. Bike 25 miles
2. Swim 1 mile
3. Run 5 miles
1. Bike 25 miles
2. Swim 1 mile
3. Run 5 miles

Swimming is easy if you doggy paddle and take your time

For everybody even talking about biking they are forgetting the most important thing. It depends on what type of bike you have. I promise you there are many bikes that y'all wouldn't be cruising 25 miles on.

It has to be swimming. You use more muscles. Watch the Tour de France and you'll see riders with huge legs and pencil arms.
Personally I haven't swam a cumulative mile in my life. Probably not even half that. But I have run over 5 miles dozens of times. Biked 25 miles plenty of times but most of that leisurely. Just the fact that you can bike 25 miles leisurely without even sweating makes that the easiest.

I don't bike very often but in my experience, running 5 will tire you out more and feel like a tougher workout, but swimming 1 will actually be easier and a better full-body workout. Just my opinion.

The OP said it can all be done in an hour, but didn't specify in his question that it had to be done in an hour.

Running 5 miles uphill all the way would be pretty tough. But swimming 1 mile uphill would be truly impressive.
