Wrong. This is the most mis-stated 'truth' out there.

In this day and age, any woman who pretends to be "offended" by this is a gold digger and needs to get kicked to the curb. Don't fall for it. The more she resists, the more full of shite she is.

Put yourself in their shoes for a moment.

I know how I'd feel about it if my precious daughter confided in me that her marriage was conditional on her signing a pre-nup agreement with the groom.

Not saying what's right and what's wrong. I'm just sayin.

I mean, I can't say I understand how they felt but I don't think I would be angry because I would understand their reasoning behind it.

But I haven't gone through that so I can't say how I would react.

Because I'm not a retard and actually got to know the girl before I married her. Tough shite if you married a psycho who wants to take your shite, that's on you. Also divorce is for pussies.

Agreed. This always bugs me when I hear it because people that use it ignore other variables. For instance, if both people are college graduates, the divorce rate goes way down.

What's the truth then?

Some info discrediting the 50% number: LINK LINK. Plenty more out there.

Basically, the 50% number was taken by dividing the number of marriages in a given year by the number of divorces in that year. Statistically, that makes zero sense because most of the time, people don't get married and divorced in the same year. They also don't consider whether it's the first, second, third etc. marriage/divorce.

Not the case, but people rushing into marriage is a rampant issue.
