Why do so many couples not sign prenuptial agreements?

I've never been able to understand this. Taking precautions doesn't mean you have no faith in your relationship to last. If something were to happen, then there's already a document signed by both parties and you don't have to get lawyers involved or frick each other over.

Someone explain this to me.

Because everyone is in love and believes it will not happen to them.

Usually don't need to. Unless you own your own business or have substantial wealth really no reason to.

True but having one would still make the potential divorce process go much easier.

You'll understand when you pitch it to your fiancé one day.

It's usually used when there is a disparity in wealth. My wife and I started with nothin no need for one then.

This has nothing to do with Beta or Alpha.

Maybe. I'm not engaged so I can't really understand the situation of trying to say "hey, we need to sign this"

Well, in some cases, it could start the marriage off on the wrong foot.

An in-law of mine was about to get married to her fiance when his family had him drop a pre-nup bombshell on her. Caused a lot of animosity on the other side of the family and, in turn, put a lot of stress on her and the new marriage.

Why though? It doesn't mean the guy doesn't love her or trust her. He's just taking precautions.

My wife and I did this. We understood from day one of our relationship the philosophy "What's mine is mine and what's yours is yours." She was completely fine with it.

You're speaking logically. Women don't do this

BS

Chris Rock said it best: if you make 5 million a year and she gets $3 million so what. It's the guy that makes $50K and the bitch wants half

To her family it was a sign of distrust and disrespect. Caused a rift between the families before what should have been one of the most momentous times in their lives.

~50% divorce rate. Can't get much worse than that. People might as well sign them. Then guys can keep their shirts.
