Why all the hate for Dabo Swinney?

The dude wins. ESPN released a stat today that is very telling:

quote:

Under Dabo Swinney, Clemson has been ranked in 46 straight AP polls dating to Sept. 2011, good for 2nd-longest streak in school history.

He's done a good job cleaning up Tommy Bowden's mess and has really breathed fire into the program. He may be an arrogant son of a bitch, and he may say stupid things every now and then, but he's a pretty good coach.

What big game has he lost where he really had a chance to win?

And how do you define big? Because he has beaten good teams in big games. So not sure how you are defining this.

He's got a Saban-esque quality to him.

He consistently wins. Yet, he evokes a certain visceral hatred based on his personality.

When they lose, it's defined as big.

chance? what does that even mean?

So if he loses a game that he was never supposed to win he gets a free pass? legit logic I suppose

The win against Ohio State convinced me that Dabo may actually be a quality coach.

But he's merely putting himself under even more pressure. Eventually, he's gonna have to learn how to beat South Carolina and Florida State in the same season.

I feel like he's going to struggle when Morris leaves.

Uhh, how about losing to Florida State the last couple of years?

It's not like FSU was such a dominating team that Clemson should have been losing by as much as they did.

Couple things:
- he's never been a coordinator
- he didn't win until hiring chad morris
- can't beat South Carolina

I'll give him credit, he's hired a couple good coordinators.

Florida State 51
Clemson 14

AT HOME

You can say that they were not the better team, but they got anal raped in "Death Valley."

And up to this year's Orange Bowl, he only coached in one other big game, and West Virginia put up a 70 spot on them.

Because he's a self-righteous overinflated douche in postgame interviews.

It was like a freaking church service acting like they won the national championship game after the Peach Bowl last season.

He is the only non SEC coach that can claim victory over a Les Miles LSU team.
