You mean the MSU that was ranked #16 when Auburn beat them? Look, I'm not really a fan of tearing down goal posts or rushing the court, but its retarded to mock fans for doing against a team in Sept, just because that team wound up not having a great season or because they struggled in the opener, again they were the defending National Champs. If you are a rushing the field type of program, that's a good a team to do it against as any.

do you not remember how he acted after he beat LSU? shouldn't he have acted like he's been there before after a huge win against that AU squad?

give him props for his salesmanship, but he comes across as a huge douchebag every single time they win a game in primetime.

Rival fans comments are completely worthless in this type of discussion.

this thread is asking why people hate on him. it's because he's a tool and acts like a clown. since we have to share a state with him, we're subjected to his obnoxiousness way more frequently than you as an LSU fan.

He is 1-5 against the pride of the state: The University of South Carolina. He has it easy by beating up on the ACC week in and week out. Now that Florida State is back to their elite status, he's toast. He will continue to be Florida State and South Carolina's whipping boy as long as he is at Clempson.

I was commenting about the fans rushing the field. Other posters were mocking Clemson for rushing the field after beating an 8-5 Auburn team, as if they were supposed to know that the defending NC would finish with 5 loses. Frankly, for a program like Clemson, beating LSU in a bowl was a pretty big win. Meant a lot more to them than LSU.

The OP is using hate in a different context, essentially asking why people don't consider him a good coach. His personality may be part of it, but as a fan of their rival, is obnoxious behavior is magnified for you.

He doesn't come off that way to me.

Kind of reminds me of Les in a lot of ways. I do think that most of the stupid things Les says is planned. He talks like that to frick with the media. Dabo says stupid things just out of getting emotional and not thinking things out. He just speaks from his heart. Both are good coaches, the differences in the success is basically that LSU is maybe a notch higher, prestige wise than Clemson.

What about 2010? Let's wait til after this year to see how he does without Boyd, Watkins, the #2 WR, & #1 RB.

Barring substantial injuries, Clemson will post double digit wins again next year.

yes really. I always find it a tad ironic when LSU fans act like programs can never change and improve whether it is Clemson, A&M or whoever, especially programs that have resources. Clemson has had back to back 11 win seasons and did beat some good teams. Last was a tight game with FSU, this year was obviously a beat down and haven't beaten USCe in a while. Now it is up to them to take that next step. I don't know if Swinney is the guy to do it or not, but there is no reason for him to think he/they can't. If guys like Fulmer, Coker, Brown and Miles can win, why can't Dabo?

Bro, don't you know football didn't exist before 2000?

I like Dabo, he's got some personality and adds to the game. Reminds me of Spurrier when he started off at UF.

Whoa whoa whoa stop the clock. Spurrier was the architect that created his dominating offense that ruled the SEC for years. Dabo is a shite talker who doesn't have the coaching chops to back it up. Dabo adds some lulz to the game and that's about it.

He's just comparing their personalities not their coaching abilities. Dabo moved up in the coaching ranks extremely quickly and has had some learn-on-the-job moments.

He's rounding out into a pretty damn good coach, though.

Uhh yes, I read your retarded take on Derpbo. He's an idiot and a shite coach. His hyped up redneck "personality" is cringeworthy.

The only retarded thing was your actually thinking "personality" had anything to do with coaching abilities. But, nothing surprises me. People in general aren't very bright.

he runs his mouth, yet has won nothing and gets his arse handed to him by his rival.

he also runs his mouth about his rival, yet gets bent over, with no lube, by his rival, and the old ball coach.

ACC isn't exactly the juggernaut of great teams.

He consistently acts like a jackass. Remember his national championship claim after winning the Chick-fil-A Bowl?
