Stop at any exit between state line and Breaux Bridge and you will hit boudin gold.

Billy's. Get the smoked.
This. Also, if you go to Billy's, get the pepperjack stuffed boudin balls. They are delicious. I could eat one every single day.

Billeauds in Broussard for boudin. It's the best.

Anyone going by Nunus, I recommend you pick up some fresh sausage as well.

Didn't see any of that, might have to stop in there again

Depends on what you like.. I like Johnson's better than Don's, Best Stop and Billy's.. But T-Boy's has been knocking out some quality product lately. I get it at their slaughter house in Mamou.
Since the Boudin Cookoff started a lot of places are using better quality meat and putting out some good links.

Mowata store
This would be the correct answer

Johnsons didn't impress me. NuNus and Mowata are good.

Bergeron's Port Allen, get the smoked. The same guy has been making this boudin for 12 years.
Don's is horrible, used to be good. Most of those acadiana places have gotten so busy with all the I 10 signs there are teenagers in the back making bulk boudin for I 10 people who will buy anything.

DING, DING, DING. Every time I go to visit my parents I make sure that I don't eat lunch before I leave and get two of those monsters and a half pound of cracklins.
On the other hand, if you have time to go to Mowata...

So I bought NuNu's and Best Stop smoked boudin. Both are fantastic. Thank y'all for the recs. I I had to pick a winner, it would be NuNu's, so that is where I'm stopping on the way home. Will be looking for that sausage syrup too

Any boudin thread without Bourque's is an epic fail. By skyscraper magnitudes. It is a little out of the way (Port Barre on 190), but so are some other listed here.
I agree that some of the others are good.... But some of the suggestions or horrible.
Nunus & T-Boys are solid.
Billys & Best Stop trail those 2.
Bourques is the winner.
