That is true - at least in the same sense that finallyfast is considering a relationship with Carmen Electra

They were bashing A&M on ESPN radio in Houston yesterday.
Why would the SEC want to add a mediocre Big 12 team?
The SEC hasn't offered, nor do they even want to expand.

Texas Gov. Rick Perry says his alma mater, Texas A&M, and the SEC are discussing the Aggies possible future membership in the league, according to a report in the Dallas Morning News. Perry was asked by reporters from the paper on Wednesday about recent swirling speculation surrounding the move. "I'll be real honest with you. I just read about it the same time as y'all did. ... As far as I know, conversations are being had. That's frankly all I know. I just refer you to the university and the decision makers over there." Perry once served as a yell leader for the university, whose president, R. Bowen Loftin, recently acknowledged that there was "uncertainty" regarding the university's future membership in the Big 12. Texas A&M released this statement to multiple media outlets: "President Loftin is committed to doing what is best for Texas A&M not only now, but also into the future. We continue to have wide-ranging conversations regarding all aspects of the university, including both academics and athletics." Big 12 commissioner Dan Beebe is taking Texas A&M's possible move "very seriously." "I've been talking to a number of people." Beebe told the Austin American-Statesman. "Obviously, there are a significant number of Aggie supporters who are interested in going in that (SEC) direction. "There's a huge risk if an institution leaves its geographic proximity and rivalries. In the long run, it can create a lot of problems."
So it's not some op-ed from ESPN...

I think the most disturbing part of that story is that a former Aggie yell leader has a decent shot at making a run for the white house. Scary.

IDK, why would they want to add a school with one of the 3 or 4 largest enrollments, in the country that is located in the 2nd largest state with a huge following in 3 top 10 TV markets, has plans to expand their stadium to 90-100K, is in one of the top 3 states for HS talent, where several SEC teams already recruit. Big mystery there.

Its much better to sit around and let the B1G and Pac 12 grow and get much more lucrative TV deals. Then the SEC can just react and take ACC teams from markets the SEC is already in.

People like to think of the pageantry of college football, not the financial stuff like tv markets shares
I'm all for superconferences though.

how long before we get Dr Drunky's standard Baylor Poltical Tsunami rhetoric?

just from the opinions i'm gathering over here in Houston from A&M folks.
They are super excited about the idea, feel like if so they're football program will go to the next level and that in a few years they'll be a powerhouse.
what they fail to realize is that:
yes, their recruiting may enhance somewhat early on, but you are also opening the flood gates for Nick Saban, Les Miles, Gene Chizik, Bobby Petrino, etc to come over and raid the pantry.

Plans? Put your $ where your mouth is
You would have to add another team as well. Will adding 2 more teams and splitting that between the SEC benefit the league financially?

Link that they have?

ESPN reads the Rant.
Or they read (and cite in their story) the Dallas Morning News and the Austin American-Statesman.
