I tried Five Guys Burger and Fries today

for the 1st time (Orlando).
Can't beat fresh cut fries, piping hot. One regular order will easily feed 3 people.
The burger? Good, not great, but good. Certainly better than any fast food hamburger joint that we're all used to, but not IMO nearly as good as a Johnny Rockets or Fuddruckers (but not their market either). I'd prefer if I could order the burger cooked the way I want it, but nonetheless, it was still juicy juicy.
Rather pricey. A BCB, fries and drink set me back just over $11.
Very cool atmosphere and I imagine if the BR location can mimic the rest of the FGBF franchises, it should do very well.

No way.
Five Guys Burger >>> Johnny Rockets
Five Guys Fries >>> Johnny Rockets
Johnny Rockets Shakes >>> Does 5 guys even have shakes?

5 Guys does not serve milkshakes.
I've only eaten at Rockets once and I enjoyed it, but I wouldn't compare it to FGBF as Rockets offers more than just burgers.

I have only eaten at the casino location when in a rush...the burger is borderline inedible. Plus, I feel sick the rest of the day.

I've had Fuddy's in BR, Atlanta and Portland. None of the locations have let me down, but I am a pretty simple guy when it comes to food.

All I ever got there was burger, fries, and shakes.

Did one of the waitresses put out for you? The uniform would not be too terrible of a fantasy outfit I suppose.

I've had much better results from a proper Fuddruckers location when I lived in Austin as opposed to the Fuddruckers in Harrahs. The one in Harrahs is much more expensive and not nearly as good.

Brother-in-law took me to Fuddruckers in Houston a few months back, I thought it was pretty damn good. I remember going to the BR one when I was younger, but not often. Wish it was still around.

The one in the casino is atrocious. I've had good luck at others though.

Five guys is the same, awesome, no matter what town i'm in. Even the airport ones are good!

Fudd's makes a great burger. Five Guys fries are overrated, the first few times the novelty was cool. Once you realize how much grease your eating and that the texture sucks, you get over them in a hurry.

The one in Houston by Bass-Pro is the best I've had.

right, they were very poorly cooked both times i had them. Great, it's a fresh sliced potato....and it's also soggy, greasy, undercooked, and salty as all hell.

We stopped at the FG off I-10 in Mississippi on the way back from Pensacola last week. I thought it was good stuff. The kids didn't like the "cajun" fries, they were really over seasoned. But everyone liked the burgers. It was about a $10 per person average for our little group...so it wasn't cheap. But the food was pretty solid for "fast burgers".

yeah, that was one of my main beefs. I love spice, but it was like eating a pile of salt.
the burger was fine. Like you said it's ok for what it is, but given the fact that it's not a drive thru or particularly quick i rank it behind In-N-Out and Carl's Jr...more on par with a Fatburger.

I've only eaten there a couple of times at the one by the Carson Mall.
Man those fries are the greasiest thing I've ever seen. I picked up some to go and the brown bag was completely soaked by the time I made it back to the office.
