Here, let me correct the headline:
"NOVA voters to decide high-stakes redistricting referendum"
....because the rest of Virginia really doesn't matter anymore.

OP ... you think voters really decide this?

And they have the gall to invoke 'fairness' regarding this measure, and promise that it will only be temporary

VA dems have conducted this election in the most corrupt manner possible. They drafted misleading and biased ballot information—restoring fairness when in reality they are doing the exact opposite. Violating state laws on the amendment process. The “blue tailed” lobster district. Pulling Obama out of storage to have him read pretty words against a background of sophisticated music. The entire process is a sham and con job, as are most things with the democrat party.

We actually find out how corrupt the system is. A true people would not vote for this nonsense. The filth cannot win a fair, secure election which is why they fight against them so hard.

Democrats know how to wield power.
Republicans need to learn how to do it.

Fairfax and Loudon counties will show up en masse to vote in the referendum. Most blue collar voters further south and west will stay at home because they are apathetic or disillusioned by the Congress.

Today 50% of voters will vote to remove representation from the other 45% of voters in the name of Democracy, and anti-fascism.

Huge day for Virginia. Let's hope it passes. At this rate though, most of the redistricting efforts on both the GOP and DEM sides will end up in a wash.

Are we even going to acknowledge that this is only happening because of what the Texans did?

100% this… hell, the CIA just installed the governor. Why in the hell would they allow for redistricting???
Posted on 4/21/26 at 10:28 am to GooseSix
We already found out how dumb they are with the Governor election.

And you.too, have swallowed that lie hook, line, and sinker. Texas gerrymandered due to the blatant gerrymandering in California, Illinois, and all the New England states where those states have essentially NO Republican representatives despite having at least 40% Republican voters. Texas is just a response to the Democrat party having a very unfair electoral representation. When Republicans held the Virginia trifecta recently, they refused to gerrymander, when they could have, because it was unfair. The Democrat party is not that principled. Whatever it takes. By any means necessary. My house will all be voting no today, but statewide, NOVA has the advantage, and I fear this will pass. Our only hope is that after this referendum the Virginia state Supreme court will rule it unconstitutional. We voted on this issue in 2020, but the Democrats do not care about that. They just want that power. I wish the Republican party was this energetic, aggressive, and hungry.

It's all the plateheads in N VA, Richmond, and Norfolk that ruin it for the rest of us. Been that way for years.
Don't lump the Virginians with a lick of sense in with that lot....

User name is very appropriate.

I thought this was pretty clear-cut, considering who they elected for governor.
