It's amazing how quickly the public went from loving season 1 to no one talking about the movie.

They showed the first 17 minutes of the film and reactions appear to be positive

I hope it crushes, is phenomenal, and proves us all wrong

Nothing would make me happier than Star Wars getting back on track

Why are y'all downvoting RLDSC for posting a trailer?

if you want to vent about the trailer, go to Youtube.

I remember seeing Star Wars at a drive in theater at what must have been 5.

I was such a big Star Wars nerd that my wife's family made fun when she bought me toys while we were in college.

I own multiple versions of the OT movies and had my son (now 23) completely obsessed with this franchise. We have a closet overflowing with toys from my childhood and his.

Neither of us care anymore, they lost the base fans and our kids. There isn't an alternate fanbase out there.

We are on to Warhammer 40K at this point. Hope it doesn't go down the same road, but seems like it might.

ETA, I didn't downvote and hope the franchise comes back. Not optimistic though

This is the best trailer for the movie so far. I'm actually excited about it. I just hope my son is old enough to sit through a whole movie.

I’ll watch it when it comes out on D+. Shouldn’t take long.

It’ll be good. It’ll make money. And people will still complain. This is the way.

I'm just pessimistic about Star Wars as long as they are owned by Disney. As soon as they put out something almost good they destroy it in the next movie. Even if it gets purchased by a more careful owner it's damaged goods now.

They've hugely degraded if not destroyed my attachment to the characters. Which is fairly sad when I had such fond memories of the stuff when I was a kid.

The franchise was once uniquely associated with my childhood because I had a childhood friend die of leukemia (before he graduated from elementary school and ROTJ was released) who was the biggest Star Wars fan in our school. Even as special as the franchise was to me I just want it to go away now. I still think about that kid buried with a Luke in one hand and a Han in the other... But it was the boy dead from cancer that remains special, not the franchise (because he would have fricking hated all the new stuff).

If they had done this movie after season 2, it would have been a massive hit, but season 3 killed it. Killed it dead.

Im torn and will probably wait to see if I want to go to the theaters at all.

Star Wars certainly hurt its brand but Covid killed the theater experience in general. This movie would haver topped a billion 6 years ago. No one goes to theaters anymore because they all bought big arse TVs at the house and they already have streaming stuff for 10 services. It takes a special movie to get people to show up to the theaters anymore.
