I liked it better when pitchers could hit, at least in the NL...

An Automatic out most times. Make the pitchers work from the mound by having to get a quality hitter out. The BA in Major leagues is around 250 or less. So they are not having to work too hard.

Because they dont practice hitting nearly to the degree that other positions do.

Pitchers get paid to play baseball. Just like a second baseman or the right fielder. If your name is in the lineup you should hit.

Im neither here nor there about it but without pitchers hitting we dont get moments like when Bartolo Colon took one yard. Moments like that are what baseball has always celebrated as unique to baseball.

Every game was 2:30 long. I hate the DH too
I always loved watching the strategy when it's a tie game and have a pitcher pitching great in the 6th with the bases loaded and 1 out and he's up at the plate.

The best thing about baseball in the old days was all the consistency. Same exact rules for pitchers batting on every team, same size fields. #America’sGame

The DH is an abomination! Now we have pitch clocks and fricking interviews while the game is going on. Congrat's networks, you have turned the game into a circus with clowns running around the bases like a bad scene from Saturday Night Fever. Next will be the Savannah Bananas as the newest expansion team.
