MS man convicted of ‘unnatural intercourse’ with family dog

A Horn Lake, Mississippi man pleaded guilty and was convicted Wednesday of engaging in sexual acts with a dog.
Tristan Pipkin, 27, entered a guilty plea to one count of unnatural intercourse, the DeSoto County District Attorney’s Office said.
The Horn Lake Police Department says it began an investigation after Pikin’s then-girlfriend discovered video of the sex acts on his phone and reported it to police.
Pipkin is barred by a court order from any further contact with the dog, a Great Pyrenees-Labrador mix named Toby.
He has not been sentenced.
“This is one of the most disturbing and depraved cases my office has ever seen,” said District Attorney Matthew Barton in a statement. “The conduct in this case is beyond comprehension, and someone capable of this kind of behavior poses a serious concern for any community.”

I’m not sure why. But the fact that it’s a male dog actually makes it worse IMO.
ETA: If it were with a female dog, would he have been charged with "natural intercourse"?

He's cute ain't he? Only problem is, he's got a little bit a Mississippi leg hound in 'im. If the mood catches him right, he'll grab your leg and just go to town.
