DeSantis’ impeachment call came Tuesday as he signed Missy’s Law. A priority bill for Attorney General James Uthmeier, the legislation demands judges keep defendants convicted of dangerous crimes in custody instead of freeing them ahead of sentencing.
That’s what happened in the case of Daniel Spencer, a 35-year-old convicted in an underage sex sting for attempting to meet a 15-year-old girl. Leon County Judge Tiffany Baker-Carper didn’t lock him up pending sentencing because he’d already been out of jail for a year without violations and had no violent criminal history, the Tallahassee Democrat reported.
But a month later, he — along with the girl’s mother, Chloe Spencer — beat and murdered his stepdaughter, Missy Mogle. Both Spencers were charged with second-degree murder in May 2025.

Seems as if incompetent, female, BLACK judges are over-represented at all levels of the judiciary.
And yes, there needs to be a closed-loop system of accountability for judges.

“Being a brand-new attorney, was really a struggle for me, I had a strong desire to be Black and excellent. My counterparts looked at me like they think I’m better than them,” Baker-Carper said. “I came across as intimidating, too smart, over confident. But, in reality that was not the case. I walked in the courtroom with the mentality that as a Black person, we have to run faster, be 10 times better.

Judges have a difficult job.
However, judges who consistently make terrible decisions or let criminals walk need to be held accountable.

Leftist are inherently violent and incapable of impartiality. Treat them accordingly.

Judges need to be held accountable for bad decisions when there is another victim involved.

So tired of judges going easy on these type of offenders. It's tiresome.

Yes, but like Trump, he needs help to accomplish this.

It takes a two-thirds vote from the Florida House to impeach judicial officers, followed by a two-thirds vote in the Senate to remove them. Republicans make up nearly 70% of lawmakers in each chamber.
This is something I think people keep forgetting.

bad precedent if this happens.
Is the State of Florida responsible for giving Epstein a sweet heart deal that was a "work release" in the 2000s and allowed him to continue his abuse of girls?

How about judges have to live with them instead?
