WW Return to LSU receiving national negativity

The national negative attention with WW coming back is ridiculous..... This man wanted to come back; he did not want to leave in the first place.... The NC State season ended, and a coach (person) chose to return to the job he wanted. It happens everyday at every organization. But, because we are LSU and truly have a hot current national brand, we are targeted. Yes, WW has an aggressive personality that gets abrasive at times. I would rather that personality than what we have had the last 4 years. Players take on the swag and personality of the coach. LSU basketball will win a National Championship soon in men's hoops. The LSU fanbase will support the program when it is winning and competing at the highest level; it's been proven time and time again. When this program is hitting on all cylinders and following great football seasons, the BR community is thriving.
Now, what truly makes and defines WW's coaching is the intangibles that are never seen. Of course, recruiting and obtaining talent is crucial, but also coaching and developing the athlete is the key. Remember, the man has never played the game before..... He says that gives him an edge other former player coaches don't have.... WW is different!! DIFFERENT in Baton Rouge is normal.... Boot up bitches

If they aren’t talking, they don’t care.

I was just listening to full ride on Sirius XM college channel and they basically compared us to the NWO from the wrestling world 25+ years ago. Even played their theme music when talking about us having Wade, Kiffin, and Mulkey on staff. As the saying goes, any publicity is good publicity.

I’ll be honest, I wouldn’t know about any of the negativity unless it was posted here.

I want more winning for LSU and crying for the rest of the SEC and the media.

We aren’t in the business of pleasing our competition

I mean he was fired for cause from LSU. Why are people so shocked this is getting negative publicity?
Even wilder is LSU held no formal coaching search. There are multiple reasons this is going to get raked over by the media.

Remember the national media outrage when NC State hired Wade?
Wait…there was none.

I am here for the LSU villain arc that is starting. We ride or die.

I could not care any less about what people outside of the LSU fanbase think of us.
What I want is for LSU and the decision makers there to remain intensely focused on doing what it takes to keep natties coming to Baton Rouge in as many sports as possible.
If that means being hated everywhere else, then so be it.

Well, here's just one pretty representative example from a prominent national source:
Athletic piece on LSU coaches
The reaction really is crazy and disproportionate. Will Wade is entitled to take another job, and coaches claiming that they are fully committed to their current gig right up until the moment they aren't isn't just common, it's the only thing they can reasonably do.
Now, I will say that I wouldn't love to be Wade's Athletic Director...

receiving national negativity
Negativity is one thing. Some of the stuff coming from sportswriters is downright insulting. Not just about LSU either. The fans, the state, our culture. I certainly don’t take it personally but I’m trying to understand why they seem to be. Football is one thing. But we aren’t even a blip on the national map in basketball right now. We better keep things clean as possible because there’s a magnifying glass on LSU sports and a bunch of angry people ready to tear it down.

Let’s see, football sucked under BK, so we get Kiffin. Basketball sucked under McMahon, so we get WW, and baseball was underperforming with Pawl, so we get JJ. I don’t see a problem with any of this and don’t understand why one should except for maybe the fan bases that feel jilted.
