BREAKING: Senate Passes DHS Bill To End Shutdown, On To House Later Today

Fox News just broke in with a bulletin.
Senate just passed DHS bill to end shutdown. Basically Democrats & Republicans get nothing:
- DHS fully funded but no funds in bill for ICE and Customs & Border Protection
- No restrictions on ICE, like requirements for unmasking and judicial warrants
Fortunately for ICE and CBP, they are flush with cash from the Big Beautiful Bill.
From Politico:
"The good news is we anticipated this a year ago. I mean, one of the reasons we front loaded, pre-loaded up the ‘one big, beautiful bill’ with advanced funding for Homeland Security was because we anticipated this was likely going to happen, and it did," Thune said. "I still think it's unfortunate. The Dems wanted reforms. We tried to work with them on reforms. They ended up getting no reforms."
Now, onto the House. The House has one day before Easter recess to pass the bill. Two possible outcomes: the House quickly gets it done or runs into issues as some Republicans don’t like passing a DHS bill without funds for ICE and CBP even though there is a ton of money from the BBB.

In the meantime, and even if the reconciliation effort falls short, ICE and CBP can operate on what remains of the nearly $140 billion windfall they received under last year’s megabill — far more than the total of $28 billion the two agencies were previously set to receive for the current fiscal year.

Whichever Republican stalls it will own the long lines in airports over the Holidays. I think it flies through. Does little to solve the basic issue off mass deportations which seems to have stopped but still determines the ultimate electoral win for Dems when they give amnesty to the immigrants.

If I was a GOP Congressman I would vote against it until they pass the SAFE Act.

RIP Alex Pretti. VA nurse during work hours who also tried to hold masked thugs accountable in his spare time was was jumped/murdered within seconds after helping a lady up. All for trying to serve his community after seeing Renee shot in the face while clearly doing a 4 point turn to get out of there.
The handling of these 2 cases on top of Chicago where they shot a woman 5 or 6 times for ramming into them they said. bullshite btw. All charges were dropped after they were exposed as demonic level liars.
DHS haven’t been held accountable for the crime, the coverup, slandering of the victims. Nobody expects they will be.
I guess the only real punishment is their credibility is dead and gone too

I think the odds for Safe Act passage is zero, ML. Given our usual RINOs there is no way it happens as the Dems would lose across the board minus illegal votes. They’ll die on that hill.
I think it comes down to just how far Trump is willing to take it when the usual unverifiable election once again sails through in November. It’s going to take an Authoritarian mechanism to undo what Biden/Dems did re importing their new electoral base. Won’t be painless. Sadly so.

Why, just like the Dems and trying to put restrictions on ICE agents as part of the funding Bill when ICE is already funded via the BBB, the SAVE act has nothing to do with it.
Hypocrites gonna hypocrite though
Lets just say the ovvious, politicians are the scum of the earth. I can't think of a single person in either House that isn't.

Go back to your handlers or M-SNOW, which ever one is feeding you the propaganda about the mentally disturbed incel nurse who got fired from his job and was on a week-long rampage assaulting federal law enforcement while carrying and found out or the transient alphabet lady who blew into town and thought that joining organized resistance funded by foreign entities and attacking federal law enforcement was a better idea than getting her car registered in-state or ensuring that her ward/child was prioritized over illegal aliens or dying her hair magenta or whatever-the-frick she pursued in order to find out…

Are we going to talk about his altercation interaction with ice a couple of weeks earlier that resulted in several cracked ribs?
How about the fact that he had gotten fired from his position at the VA?
You guys are terrible at this game.
