The impact of the war on the mid-terms

It is a major distraction from Trump's main task, which should be helping MAGA candidates win their primary and general elections.
Plus, it is causing gas prices to go up. Voters don't like that.
Voters want lower inflation and interest rates and job creation. They aren't concerned about Iran's nuclear program.
Trump needs to get back on task. Let Israel and Saudi Arabia deal with Iran. We've done enough already.
That is my two cents.

If voters think they’ll get those things with the Democratic Party, then voters must have the collective memory of a gnat.

Absolutely zilch. Of course, false polling now might say whatever the poll purchaser wants or needs it to say.
But the memories of most Americans upon entering the booth to vote is affected by the previous 6 weeks. But then again, it is hard to beat the software that can be hacked in the voting machines.

The midterms are completely going to come down to the job market and inflation/affordability, as they always do

This war plays very well in the deep south (i.e. this board), but else where in the country is a major negative. In the words of Donald Bush, "It will...be a...Big...Beautiful...Blue wave", as the center left and right, think Joe Rogan podcasters etc, abandon him feeling betrayed by his Trans movement from MAGA to MIGA, and major neocon the likes of his best friend Lindsey Graham.

Trump ran on immigration (some but very messy progress), jobs (failure so far), disengagement (major failure), more nationalistic trade (courts beat him on this) and 'draining the swamp' (he appears pretty swampy these days)
It took a lot of non republican voters to bring him both victories and I'd say that support is cooked. The midterms were likely lost prior to the war. Now they're a guaranteed loss and I strongly suspect so is the next presidential election. If this war drags on, the left may control our government for a generation or more.

Perhaps he should quit endorsing dinosaurs.
Although Valentina Gomez is probably slightly loco, Trump endorsed the 3rd oldest House Rep who beat her handily. I don’t like how the local GOP essentially takes sides but like the politicians they support, they are probably corrupt themselves.
There is a whole laundry list of terrible people Trump endorses. The longer this goes on, the more I’m convinced he’s not actually MAGA himself. Disagree with me? Sure - then explain why he would endorse the Ms Lindsay’s of the world who is among the top warhawks in all of Congress.

The maga cult will vote for who he wants no matter what, and i tend to think outside that demographic the war probably polls better than you think. The loudest are not the majority.
So im not really sure, might not be the biggest impulse ever. Of course if the status quo is still where we are in 12+ weeks.....then yeah, id say he stepped in it.

let's think about this logically jethro gasoline is trading within the same range that it has been in for the last 20 years. if $5 dollar per gallon didn't throw us into a recession and create what was supposed to be the "red wave" in 2022 why is $3 a gallon going to do that in 2026. are american's going to magically embrace the democrats tranny homo agenda?

Electorate has a short news cycle memory.
Come November, if this is still ongoing, it would be an issue. But if it’s over before then it will be a faded memory with respect to voting.

The mid-terms are in Nov. We are in March. At least 5 other issues influencing voters will pop up between now and then to replace Iran and gas prices.
