Alone time. How much do you get and do you enjoy it?

Off today. Took my golf cart up to the Loop to get a damn good hamburger and I am flying solo and it feels glorious. Wife is at work and its time to enjoy lunch and be thankful. I get about 2-3 days a week for myself. Love my wife and family but love my alone time.

My gf is out of town this weekend. I was planning on going to NOLA to hang out with friends, but the thought of just hanging out by myself and fishing all weekend is making me reconsider.

Not much, as I have kids and a SAHM wife and I WFH.
The wife leaves every day for afternoon carpool around 2 and gets back around 3:30, so that 1.5 hour window is pretty much the only alone time I get at home. This is usually when I workout.
Other than that, I have to get up before everyone for my alone time.

Alone time is needed. When I don't get enough, I get pissy

Quite a bit. My wife works Fridays and I'm off. I enjoy the hell out of it. I go hunting, fishing, or work in the yard. I'll often cook myself a big arse lunch if I'm home and relax.

Most of my alone time is late at night like 9:30 onwards, so I stay up late to relax and decompress. Without alone time I become quite sour.

My alone time is either before everybody wakes up or after everybody goes to bed.
So I can either get a full night of sleep or have some me time. Not both

The only alone time I get is when I'm at work. My wife swears she cannot do anything without me and I have a 3 year old stuck up my arse.

I'm retired but wife still works part time. I do still have kids at home but when they are in school I get plenty of alone time. I enjoy it whether I'm just sitting outside drinking coffee or busy cleaning, working on something outside, etc.

Only true alone time is yard work, gym, driving.
5:30 to 7:00 AM

I'm single and staying that way for a reason. I do have a lady friend for certain activities, but she feels the same. We both like our quiet and solitude and have no urge to share a home with anyone else. It works for us.

I typically get home 1.5-2 hrs before my wife on weekdays. Usually hang on the porch with the dog and read. I treasure that time. Not gonna lie, sometimes when I pull in the drive and see my wife's car, I am a little bummed.

I'm retired and wife still works. So plenty alone time which I love. My trucking years turned me into a loner in many ways, so I don't like drama and I don't need someone around all the time.

i work from home and my wife and kid go to school 3 days a week so a good bit.
I'm also in a hotel 50+ nights a year.
so i get a lot. I'd say I enjoy it but I probably get about 30 more alone nights than I want a year.

It's precious. Love my family but I think even they would agree it's good to have our space.
I've always been comfortable doing things by myself. I remember being fresh out of college living in Houston and had the best time eating by myself after work even going to the movies.
I don't travel much for my job we l but when I do and others are also on the trip I go out of my way to chill by myself. "We're all at the Starbucks next to Gate 11 where are you?".
Nope and nope. I see my co-workers enough I'm not eating airport food with them.
When I was in Copenhagen everyone wanted to go eat together each evening and was like "nope". Checked out a hotel bicycle and rode all over the city by myself checking things out.
Probably good I have a family or id be living in a cabin in the woods somewhere with a 2 foot beard

Probably not as much as I like. I work a hybrid (WFH- 3 days) and fiance WFH all week. Every other weekend and on school breaks we have the step kid.
My alone time is usually going out birding/doing photograph and the weather has been so shitty I haven't been able to do it much.

Solitude is majorly underrated and the older I get the more I enjoy it.
